Denver Small Moves LLC

I was really looking forward to this move as I’d had this company recommended by a friend. However, on the day of the move the crew took nearly four hours to move my small one-bedroom apartment to another small one-bedroom apartment, with no elevator wait times in either building. In addition, they broke a lamp, cracked my humidifier, and lost or tossed two remotes. I asked both the movers to check the trucks the evening after the move in addition to calling the office and speaking to someone directly.

I used Denver Small moves about a year ago to move about 10 minutes away to a new place in Denver. I had everything scheduled to move on Saturday, made accommodations for my dog to be watched and had everything packed up and ready to go. They were supposed to come in the late afternoon. An hour or two before they were supposed to arrive I get a call from them saying they were going to be about 30 min late. Ok, no big deal. The time comes and goes.

Terribly unprofessional. Many things damaged. You can get a team somewhere else, that actually knows what they’re doing for the same price. Stay away at all costs. Jay is terrible, unhelpful and extremely unprofessional. Nothing put back together. Walls damaged, furniture damaged, the list goes on.

These guys were late, barely wore a mask, did not send enough guys (it took almost twice the estimated amount of time and money), broke a shelf and did not compensate us for the broken shelf.

Forgot to add that the hallways and carpet was gross leading to my apartment. A few more notations to add, it is a 100 yr old house with apartments inside off of Colfax and Detroit St. I told the owner Ken of Denver Small Moves that they would have to wait off the property until I could come down to open the security door when they arrived. They called me and told me they were out front, I assumed on the sidewalk.

We used Denver Small Moves for moving across town. Initially we were pleased, they were local and price was competitive. The move itself was long but it got done in the time they stated it would. Our issue was after the move. The headboard and side pieces of our bed are fabric - the movers did not wrap it up whatsoever and thus got completely disgusting and dirty in the moving van. The leg on our dresser was also badly damaged.

What began with what we hoped might be a professional relationship with a moving company we’d use for several jobs in the region turned into a nightmare due to botched assumptions. Denver Small Moves totally failed in a basic, easy job (one box truck and no packing) from a storage facility to an apartment a few blocks away. Although I was able to wade through a few confusing communications initially, Jay and Alex seemed professional enough.

We Used Denver Small Moves last august. We purchased their additional insurance and they did damage numerous items because of their improper packing. After numerous calls, they finally sent us some paperwork and agreed to pay us x amount in writing. We have been calling numerous times, and we can’t get a callback from the owner to pay us. Alex and who else and Jay keep giving us the runaround saying they told the owner and that’s all they can do.
