A truly awful experience. I was quoted a very reasonable rate for my studio move out - but it came in over 4x what was quoted! Then, my items were held hostage because of their "very expensive blankets," so I had no choice but to use them for my move to my new apartment. The rate for that was half what I paid for the move from my studio, which was great and all - but it just confirmed how badly they overcharged me on the initial move.
Hi. I had the worst experience with dumbo movers. They did not keep to any of the promises they told me over the phone. They made me pay for a TV box for some frames which I did not request. Delivery was suppose to be on a Sunday at 4pm. He called me the day before to confirm. And I did. The day of, he did not come 4 then 5 then 6... I kept calling and he did not answer. The main office said they can't reach him either. When finally I decided to go to a hotel, he called me 10 o'clock and said that other.
Divine…not quite. Lacking in professionalism, courtesy and general respect and privacy for your new home and it’s belongings. These guys took pictures and of my art and collectibles, forwarded these photos of my personal space and work to girlfriends and friends then gave me serious attitude (in English and Spanish - I understand both) when I politely asked them to refrain. Totally an invasion and privacy and etiquette.

The WORST customer service ever. I dont know how you guys say this is a good company. I am on the phone getting an estimate and the lady wont give me an estimate, she wants to show up and THEN give me the prices as I go or in her own words 'or we won't be able to service you'. Unbelievable.
Thanks for your note! Short noticed moves (within a few days- not enough time to send over a representative) plus moving within the same building (as your move was) are typically charged on an hourly rate basis.

The absolute best moving company. They showed up early protected. All of my belongings were super pleasant and professional. They could not have been any more helpful than they were. Not only did they disassemble my furniture, but they reassembled, and we can figure my new apartment according to my request. Moving into a co-op building there were a lot of requirements for insurance and professionalism. And this crew was great. Don’t hesitate to hire divine moving.! I’ll never use another company again

Team a great job moving me into my new apt. My main concern was a hutch that could not be replaced if damaged. They completely wrapped it in tight padding....which I was not expecting. Perfect! Also took smaller delicate items and boxed them with packing paper. These were not large items but were so well cushioned that they wound up in very large boxes....boxes so large I had a moment of panic thinking they had vanished. Nice group of guys, personable and efficient. Would use them again in a heartbeat

Divine movers!!!! They moved my sewing studio in Manhattan and it was flawless, they were very careful and professional, Sergio is amazing! He did packed my big mirrors and even my machines with such a great care! Price was also fair, no additional surprises!
