Next Stop Movers - Raleigh Movers

Booked with Next Stop Movers . All seemed fine until the movers showed up to pick up and wrap several items. When the booking took place I was told no additional costs would occur. One the day the packers arrived I had to pay $200 more . They told me I had not paid enough to have things packed . A company called West coast movers out of Las Vegas did the packing . They didn’t speak very good English. Next Srop Movers wouldn’t return my calls so I could talk with them about the extra expense.

I'm writing this to warn customers of this company and their terrible claims process. Recently, a Next Stop Movers truck severely trenched and damaged my front yard while maneuvering their truck for a move at my neighbor's house, causing damage that requires professional landscaping repair. The company's handling of the resulting claim has been appalling.

Worst experience ever. Will never use them again. Damaged items, extra fees and put my stuff in storage because they didn’t have a truck full. Horrible experience. Had to leave a day later to wait for the truck which was sublet to another company. There was only one person to unload the truck. I had to make numerous calls to find out the status oft the delivery. No manifest of items to check and had to call to get it. All driver could say was that they were a subcontractor and could not help me.

Be warned these people quote you one price and then hold you hostage doubling their costs. Your left having to sign out of desperation at the last minute.

1 star — Great movers, sketchy business practices I would definitely not recommend Next Stop Movers (North Carolina Moving & Storage) in Raleigh, NC. The actual movers were hardworking, careful, and polite—nothing was damaged and they protected the house well—but the sales/management side felt misleading and opportunistic. After I got under contract on a new home (only about 8 miles away) in Fuquay Varina, their salesperson came out, did a thorough walk-through, and itemized everything.

If you value your furniture and your hard earned money that it took to get it and want a company that stands by their word, we suggest you look elsewhere. Extreme lack of accountability… We were provided weight estimate and told we could update inventory as needed. From the very first phone call we stated we wanted 4 movers and we were assured we would have that. The morning of the move we got a call saying 3 guys, when we expressed that wasn’t the agreement. So they sent a 4 th guy and he stayed 45 minutes.

I received a call from Hale who said that he was a supervisor. He was very misleading and tried to do a bate and switch on me to go with this firm, I found this to be not ethical, deceiving, and put your company in a bad light. To be honest he talked “bad” about the company I had chosen by saying “I don’t talk bad about my competitor but …”.

I have moved many times without an incident until I moved with Next Stop Movers. The damages to my furniture proved their complete disregard for caring about my belongings. Nicks, scraps and deep gouges were common including one dining chair that was beyond repair and was put in the trash. Local realtors recommend this company and I cannot understand why since this reflects negatively on their business as well. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND bypassing Next Stop Movers NO MATTER how attractive their estimate may be.
