In their own words
Furniture items were damaged. Camping items went missing. Hardware in the beds missing. Rushed work. Employees told me they had another job to do through their own business. Broken lamp. Over charged. Shady company, I would never recommend them to anyone. DNDB.
I got name of this company from my leasing management recommendation, I choose it after I spoke with all the companies. my deep dissatisfaction with this company is unbearable. My experience had been nothing short of frustrating and unacceptable, and I feel compelled to outline the various issues encountered during this move. I hired this company to move the contents of my two-bedroom apartment to a new apartment located only four miles away.
We were quoted for 4 worker, but only 3 showed up. The initial estimate was 4-5 hours (for a 1600 sqt condo), but we ended up paying ~$1300. The movers were hard working; I guess 3 of them are just not as efficient as 4 of them so they can paired up. When moving furniture, one of them would have to wait around. Nevertheless, no complaints on the movers. As they moved the piano, a tile was broken by the cart they used, and what happened next was why I wouldn’t recommend Dominant Moving to anyone.
This sorry company has taken my money and walked away. I had hired Dominant Moving Company to move my 700 sqft. studio to a storage unit. I had pre-boxed and wrapped my belongings before hand. The movers knowingly moved my heavy two piece tool box and only used one 1" strap to "secure" it. The toolbox fell over and damaged itself and my smoker grill. After having to pull teeth on the phone for Roman to email me acknowledging the incident by his movers, I paid up.
We used this company for a recent local move within the San Diego area. The move itself was completed and nothing major was lost, but there were a couple issues that future customers should be aware of. First, our TV frame was bent during the move. I understand that accidents can happen when moving large items. However, how the situation was handled was disappointing.
Don't use this moving company! Upon arrival it wasn't communicated to the packers that they were packing my apartment. They didn't have enough supplies to pack my apartment, so I had to go purchase boxes. The lead gentleman, Dennis, and I conducted a walk through. Everything that was to be packed was laid out, and the packers were given specific instructions on ALL rooms to include the storage unit located on my balcony. They took 6 hours to pack a 1/1 apartment!
Great service. I would recommend them to anyone. Use at least 3 movers for a quick move. Professional. ***Update*** So, I finished most of my unpacking (the above review was done prior, before the movers left) and found a few upsetting things. However the one that is my main complaint is the way my mattress was dirtied. I provided full mattress covers for the mattresses that were to be moved. However, my king mattress wasn't covered in the wrap, but was shrinked wrapped with their supplies.
Not only was one of the movers over an hour late, they took their sweet time and ended up charging me over $600 to move a one-bedroom apartment from Normal Heights to North Park. When I called to complain, Roman the customer support person said he would mail me a check to partially reimburse the tardiness of the one mover and I never received a check. I've tried calling and no one answers their customer support line. DONT USE THEM!

In their own words
I first found Dominant Moving Company online and decided to give them a try for a small one bedroom apartment move. The experience was so smooth and professional that I hired them again just a month later for a much bigger move which was a full service move with packing and two trucks from Oceanside to San Marcos for my parents, who are in their late 70s. Both times, the crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and handled everything with care.
Javi, Bryan, Alex and Rafa did an absolutely incredible job with my local move. Starting with great, honest communication with the coordinator Roman, the crew arrived on time, had a great attitude, asked the right questions and ultimately came in under budget - earning every bit of their rate with hard work. Thank you team, we’ll work with you again for any moving needs!
Amazing moving company! I have now used them twice for my moving needs. I dug through years of emails to find who I used a few years ago for a move because I was very happy with the experience. Very professional moving company and they take care of everything. I have needed to find a moving company last minute and Dominant Moving Company has scheduled me in no problem. Last time, I called and they moved me same-day! Talk about service!!
Victoria, Wow. Thanks for taking your time to post this wonderful review.
Highly Recommend Dominant Moving Company– Reliable, Efficient, and Professional Moving Services in San Diego County I’ve used Dominant Movers twice over the past two years, and both experiences were excellent. Each time, I had different moving crews, and both teams handled my belongings with exceptional care. They carefully wrapped all furniture, transported everything safely, and unwrapped and set up everything perfectly at my new home, including assembling beds and arranging furniture.
