My experience with Easy Movers was far from easy. No move will go perfectly, and if 1 or 2 issues had arisen, I would not feel inclined to leave such a low review. Independently, some of these are nitpicky, but looking at the full picture I cannot recommend this company. To keep a long review short for those reading, there were major communication issues between booking and moving day and a general lack of professionalism and customer service from both of the movers.
This company is the WORST COMPANY IVE EVER USED. We placed a financial hold on our account and they withdrew the funds. 1. Drivers just NO SHOWED for an appointment we made over 3 weeks ago. It was confirmed the several days and the day before. 2. When we called, there was at first no answer. After multiple calls, someone answered and said the drivers would not make it. They gave NO reason. 3. Now we have to wait days to get our money returned to us.
If I could give a negative star I would. I would never recommend this company ever again. My fright provider had Easy Movers to give us a price to pack a 20 foot container to go over seas. Both the provider as well as myself stated that all wood use in the container to secure the items have to be “Heat Treated” we asked for a letter stating this for when the container enter into the port. They refused to give such letter. Now we understand why. Because they did not use Heat Treated Wood.
We apologize for the negative experience you've had with our services. Your concerns regarding the use of non-heat-treated wood and the lack of proper documentation are serious, and we take your feedback very seriously.
My back is now hurting from having to do so much of my own moving as opposed to the company doing it. Of our 3 man crew 1 was great, the driver was halfway decent and the other disappeared for like 2 hours and kept asking if he could have items we were looking to sell. I hope the one guy gets a raise and the company gets rid of the weak link.

One of their Movers commited a felony theft of $15+k of jewelry from our apartment during our move. The Company did nothing to help identify the guilty worker and rejected a Claim for restitution.
The client reported missing high-value items and filed a police report. Following an investigation, the case was closed due to insufficient evidence. The customer had signed a Declaration of Extraordinary Value waiver confirming that no extraordinary-value items were included in the shipment.
DO NOT use this moving company! Their movers accidentally put a 4 foot scratch in my hardwood kitchen floor. The movers acknowledged the scratch and noted it on my paperwork. They said the company’s insurance would pay to repair it. I spoke with Dan Tehaan and he wrote to me promising they would take care of it. They sent a flooring company out and the floor guy said part of the scratch was deep and by just applying polyurethane, you’d still be able to see the scratch.
Absolutely Horrible and Dangerous Experience I had one of the most terrifying experiences of my life involving a driver from East Movers. One of their truck drivers was speeding down the middle of the road, nearly crashed into my vehicle, and then started screaming, cussing, and threatening me out the window. He even yelled that he was going to shoot me — all while driving a company truck with their logo clearly visible. This wasn’t just unprofessional — it was completely reckless and dangerous.

This was the second time I hired Easy Movers. My experience was very stressful this time around. Initially, they were supposed to arrive between 9:30 AM and 10:30 AM. When 10:30 came around, I had not heard anything. I called them and the woman on the phone says "Oh no one called you with an update?" I told her no. She said that one of the drivers called off so I would need to wait for the current driver to complete the move where he is. The updated arrival estimate was between 1:00pm and 3:00pm.

Exceptional service at every touch point. Dom was terrific in helping to set everything up for my move from Charlotte to Myrtle Beach. Estimator arrived promptly as scheduled. The movers picked everything up exactly as planned and wrapped everything in blankets then shrink wrapped it all. The next day they texted me to let me know when they left and provided an ETA for arrival. They contacted me again and hour out and said they would arrive at 1pm. Pulled up in front of my home at 12:57.
Update! I just looked up Easy Movers to rate them on Google and found I did it 5 years ago. We have several more moves under our belt w them at this point and my review still pertains! Also.. lesson learned, I’ve seen others lowball the estimated by inaccurately guessing the weight of the move... Easy Movers estimates are on point... From the accurate estimating process to the actual move, they were a pleasure to work with. Very responsive office staff to help with any questions and explain the process.
You bring out the best in us!
From start to finish, I had a wonderful experience with Easy Movers. Mr. Gary was was kind, informative, and patient. He answered any questions I had concerning the move and gave me a discount due to the inconvenience of having to push my moving date back because one of their movers quit. Secondly, I liked that the receptionist gave me a call the day before my move to confirm my appointment. Next, the movers Jeff, JT, and Cam “C” (I’ll call him this because I’m unsure of the spelling of his name), were amazing!
Moving is stressful to begin with, and even more so when you have to rely on others to help move your prized possessions. After calling a few companies to get pricing, I decided to give Easy Movers a try, because Gena was the friendliest on the phone, for starters, and they gave a free, in-person check of what needed to be moved, in order to give the most accurate pricing. None of the other companies offered that, they just threw out numbers based on what I told them, which can get you an inaccurate estimate.
