Don’t expect that the price you agree with will be the price it will be when they come and work. They will increase the price over little things, if things take too much time/goes hours over their own calculated expectations even though we were clear about the amount of furniture from the beginning they start threating to raise the price/overcharge.

SCAM ARTISTS. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE. THEY BROKE FURNITURE, STOLE JACKETS AND CLOTHING, AND ARE CLAIMING ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. TRUST ME, DONT USE THEM!
Worst movers ever! I gave them one star but wish I was able to give no star. They arrived late and wanted to charge extra for what they claimed were delicate items such as dresser mirrors and china cabinet. I did not pay the extra money and they ended up breaking the marble top for my dining room server and did not say anything about it. I discovered it after they left. Called management who did not want to take care of it as they claimed I did not pay for the extra protection. I would never use them again.
Started off promising but was disappointing in the end. Shopped around with different companies, we were looking for a full service pack and move. Kevin came by two weeks prior to look around and take inventory to provide an estimate. They were not our cheapest estimate but we were told that they dismount and remount TVs (for an additional price) which was very enticing. Ultimately we booked with them. I had reserved the elevators at our first building from 9am-12pm. I was told the movers would arrive at 9.

READ BEFORE HIRING!!!!! This was a poor experience that started with the front office and ends with the crew! I cant believe they're 5 star rated. No drop cloths tracking mud across the carpets. Whatever Nobody called me to confirm the night before leaving us wondering if anyone was coming until I called them. We did not have a good experience on Friday. After having a walkthrough of our house they decided what size truck we would have for our move. On the day off the move, the truck arrived and didn’t even fit half of our stuff. I was told on the spot that we would have to increase our storage space and pay double what we were double what we were told. The customer service was also disappointing and there were no apologies for their mistake. I was not impressed and it added to a lot of moving stress.

Highly recommend if you want your movers smoking cigarettes as they move your stuff in. They also like to tell you how many children they need to take care at every available moment to inspire a Tip.

Elate did my cross-border move from NYC to Toronto and I am very pleased with how they did! They were communicative, professional, and completed the job without any snags, and all for a fair price. I would certainly hire them again.
Easy to schedule and the movers were fast, efficient, careful, and respectful. There was one small issue but the company was very quick to make it right. Would definitely use again, highly recommend.
Choosing to do our cross-border move with Elate Moving was one of the best decisions we could have made. From the beginning to the end of the process, Matthew was fantastic at walking us through exactly what we could expect and needed to do. We really appreciated his timely and frequent communication.
