In their own words
Movers arrived 45 minutes late of moving day but loaded everything and stored overnight. Arrived at new property 3 1/2 hours late to unload our household. Everything was unloaded and I was asked to sign off and pay which I did. About $3400. Found a few scratches and dents here and there. A few days later when Direct TV hooked up our TV we discovered it was ruined. Sent a copy of the receipt to movers. They said too bad you signed off everything was fine. How would we know about a TV that was not hooked up?
I would give this company no stars if I could. Had this company come out and thought they were fairly professional...until the day after they loaded into our storage unit and then more so as I have been unpacking. The day after they loaded into our storage unit, my husband went in to find everything collapsed because they had stacked it smallest to largest. He had to spend the rest of the day redoing the storage unit.
When they showed up, there was supposed to be 3 movers, there was only two. The one mover spent the first hour spent cleaning the truck up from the previous move, when it the truck was supposed to be ready to go. They charged me for that hour, then refunded me for it after I asked. They said it would take 5 hours, it took 10, for 1700 Square feet. The house was packed. We still had to go back the next day and get a uhaul to get our patio furniture and garage items.
Sandy and I both apologize that only 2 movers showed up instead of 3 as one called in sick. I did speak to you on 2 different occasions about your damaged vanity and Sam having to use the restroom. As for the vanity it is particle board … More
Let's start off this review with a couple of positives: - The loading crew itself was attentive and did all that was asked. The crew understood our time constraints (unlike management, as you will see in the following). - The crew did what they could, saved the experience, and deserve 1.5 of the 2.0 stars given. I have had the worst experience with this company. They left a deep gouge on my front door casement and on my hardwood floor. Misquoted the move time and amount. Took 100 off the bill for the damage without my being allowed approval, and told me they would be sending out a repairman. I called to schedule the repair and was told the 100 off was in lieu of repair rather than in addition to repair.

EXCELLENT SERVICE! Such a great experience; from the reservation for the date of my move from a two-bedroom to a one-bedroom apartment in the same Complex, to the actual move. Sandy was very professional when arranging/scheduling my move and in a follow-up confirmation. And, I can’t say enough about Sawyer and Zack. They were on time, organized, thoroughly discussed the job before beginning my move and gave an accurate time estimate. They were courteous, friendly, professional, and quick.
EXCELLENT service from the two guys who arrived today to move heavy furniture and boxes to multiple levels in our home. Our house has 4 different levels. We needed furniture moved from different levels and even into garage (making it 5 levels!). The guys were friendly, professional, and had no complaints about doing a job that was overwhelming to us. This is our second hire for Emerald Moving. We would absolutely hire them again.
Emerald Moving, Inc., of Eugene, OR, did an outstanding job of getting me moved out of a storage unit and into a 2nd floor apartment. Setting up the move was easy and simple, which I appreciated but, it was Sam and Grover, the movers, who made the whole process enjoyable. They were professional, skilled, respectful and friendly.
