The customer’s name under the scheduled move was Shane Tanner, my boyfriend, but seeing as our move primarily consisted of my belongings, I’m writing the review. We scheduled moving a week in advance to move a one bedroom condo that had most of the belongings already personally moved by us. The movers were scheduled to arrived around 3pm on Saturday, Sept 29, but did mention the time could fluctuate slightly due to two previous jobs they had that morning.
I really wish that you would have contacted me through the office to resolve this issue. I would have spoken directly to my employees about your concerns during your move. Instead, I have no knowledge of any issues until now. I am sorry for your poor experience with our family company.
First Coast Movers is the absolute worst moving company I have ever hired. My husband is in the military and is currently deployed and I am doing this by myself with a 17mo. old. We have moved a lot in our life and I have never had a company be so inadequate and amateur. First off, the owner of the company Dane Pezzo quoted me $200 for 2 hours and that included packing and moving. I made it very clear that I lived on the 3rd floor and that there were 2 flights of stairs.
First, Mrs. Jennings knows that people are going to be sympathic because she has a 17 month old child and that her husband is in the military. I, worked in the Naval Shipyards for 10 years and that does not give her the right to yell at people you just met. When we arrived, I could tell Mrs.
Worst moving experience I’ve ever had! Unprofessional they vaped in my new house. They did not put my bed back together correctly. When I asked them to please fix it.. he said not unless I pay him extra and I said no so he stormed out cursing. I had to pay $180 for someone to fix my bed which was not leveled, not sturdy, missing screws and there were added holes in the wood. Would not recommend!!
Solid service but very misleading. I signed up for 2 movers and when two experienced movers showed up with a third younger mover I assumed he was apprenticing and then at the end they billed me for significantly more than I was quoted at, without ever asking. good for getting the job done, including taking your money.
We appreciate you taking the time to address your issues with our services. There are some things I would like to address in response to this review on our family business. Due to the large workload for us on the day of your move, and the extreme heat we have been experiencing, the third man was…
To preface this review, First Coast Movers seem like nice people and I hate to write a bad review to a local company. Nevertheless, consumers in the area should know about my experience and I hope to provide constructive criticism to the moving company so they can better manage expectations in the future. I scheduled First Coast Movers for between 7 and 8 AM Friday, April 13, 2018. I showed up at 7 AM and waited until 8 AM. No movers.
In response to Mr. Mason's review, there are some concerns that I would like to address as well regarding many of the details of this review on our family business. We take great pride in customer service and satisfaction, and always work hard to provide our customers within the area.
We booked, well in advance with First Coast Movers to move a handicapped relative that we care for. Literally the day of the move we got a call saying they would not be able to make it as the other job they had was larger than they anticipated. We were moving a very small one bedroom apartment. We could not believe this was happening.
Sorry Mr. Homie, we dropped the ball. We do sometimes run into some delays when moving some houses and apartments with stairs and long walks which could have cause this delay that day. Feel free to contact us again if you ever need assistance again and we’ll be on top of it.
I don’t normally leave reviews but this was completely unacceptable. We hired the for a Friday afternoon move. Thursday Melissa called asking if we could move a day early. The answer was no. She said no problem we can still move you on Friday. Noon roles around and my husband called Melissa as we had not heard from her. When he called her she advised she could NOT moves and could POSSIBLY move us later in the day but it was not a guarantee.
Our team is sorry we let you down. We had a delay from a previous job that took longer than expected. Our crew was still ready to assist your family. Please give us another opportunity and we won’t disappoint you. Call our office for a discounted rate. We want to earn your business back.
The worst moving experience I've ever had. The movers were late and no one explained to me that it was going to be a two day move for a move a few hours away. The movers were not physically capable of actually moving things and broke things as they took them apart. I was also told all my stuff would fit in one truck which turned out not to be true. The movers were foul mouthed and used bad language in front of my kids as well as complained about how heavy or cheap my furniture was in front of me.
In response to Ms. Brookshire’s review there are a few things to address. First of all the crew was not late and arrived in the morning time around 8:30 to start. Also when moving a three bedroom house to Tampa it is very difficult to accomplish this in one day, which is why in our email we…

In their own words
I can’t say enough good things about First Coast Movers! From the very first phone call, their team was professional, kind, and extremely organized. Moving is usually such a stressful process, but they truly made the entire experience smooth and worry-free. On moving day, the crew (Jalen, don & Joe!) showed up right on time with great attitudes and big smiles. They treated my furniture and boxes with so much care—you could tell they take pride in their work.
Went with first coast movers for my local jax -> jax beach move because the price was right and the reviews were good. Booking with melissa was awesome from the start (she accomodated us even though they were tightly booked already). Communication was a breeze. My girlfriend has a massive/expensive mirror that was our main reason for hiring help, to make sure it got moved safely to our next spot. During moving day: Don and Jason were awesome.
Thank you for the fantastic feedback. We have the best employees and it shows. Enjoy your weekend.
Don, Josh and Brandon were all phenomenal! They arrived on time, went straight to work, followed my instructions, and were so incredibly careful with all of my furniture and artwork. We actually had two moves that needed to be done and they did all of it within four hours. I moved from a second floor to a first floor condo and in addition, many of the items had to be taken to a second home to the second floor. From the first moment I called and spoke with Melissa, I believed I had made a very good choice.
Wow! What an amazing review. Thank you Marian for choosing First Coast Movers.
First Coast Movers made our moving experience absolutely seamless and stress-free from start to finish. From the moment we reached out for a quote, their customer service was prompt, professional, and incredibly helpful. The team arrived on time, handled our belongings with extreme care, and worked efficiently while still being friendly and courteous throughout the entire process.
