In their own words
This was the worst moving experience I have ever had. I hired Flint Hills Moving Company to load a UPACK for me to move from Kansas to Tennessee. Items that I had specifically requested to be wrapped a certain way, to prevent damage, were not wrapped or packed properly, and were destroyed - including a copper table top that I have had moved by another company in the past with no issues. The movers put all of my ‘softer boxes’ at the bottom of the load, causing every single box to be ripped, crushed, and damaged.
I've said it all. I've called twice today, once at 8 am and once at 4 pm. No person in authority has called me to assure me that you are working on this very serious issue, which is that your crew did not deliver a very valuable piece of furniture to my new home when they moved me on Friday. Today is still Monday. Please prove to me that this review is unwarranted and that you have not lost (or worse) my maple, queen anne occasional table. Ana Franklin.
Ana – Whew! What a feeling. We're sorry you went through that. Our team checked the inventory list and the initial quote documents, and the occasional table was not listed as an item to be moved.
Called wanting a price on moving an item a day later, was told to give my email and I'd have a quote later in the day. When it was later in the day with no response, I called back, and was told there was no way to get my stuff moved the next day, if I'd s known that when I first called I would have been calling around. I will look elsewhere,so much for local😕
Hi, Rory! Thanks for your feedback. We generally book moves 3-4 weeks in advance, as noted on our website FAQ page. However, we are sometimes available on shorter notice if we have a team available that day.
We got quotes from 3 different reperable moving companies here in Manhattan and Flint Hills Moving quote was more than double the price of the other 2 companies. I'm sorry but this bothers me. Do your homework people!
Lucky I can’t put zero stars but Unbelievable! Over $3K!! I contacted Flint hills moving for an estimate to help me just load a 4BR house into my moving truck. Not drive it anywhere not unload it just 2-3 guys to help me get it all into my truck. They sent me a quote by text with a link that said $2800! I called them back to inquire how they estimate that outrageous amount and I was told well it’s because of some of your items and you are on Fort Riley and they’ll have to get passes….

This was a very short move within Manhattan, but we were extremely disappointed with the entire experience and the poor quality of service. Significant damage was done to multiple pieces of furniture, and both homes were left with scratches on the walls and floors. When we contacted the company to file claims for the damages, we were told that the claim deadline had already passed. This directly contradicted what the moving crew had communicated to us.
Would not recommend this company to anyone in the Manhattan area looking to just load a uhaul. They will jack up the prices after the fact things will be ready for the movers. 725 dollars for a two bedroom apartment, and before hand was $1700 dollars. If you wanna go with this company you better be wealthy because that’s how they will charge you. What’s crazy is other companies do it for less in the area with same amount of care.
Jayson, Here are a few reasons why our prices might be more than other movers: -We communicate regularly, keep our word, and show up when we say we will--giving you peace of mind. -We take time to lovingly wrap and protect your stuff with quality materials.
Move was overpriced ... Boxes were not fully packed which caused us to not be able to load everything on the truck ... Truck was packed efficiently and effectively.

In their own words
The workers here are so professional, efficient, and careful. First someone came in for a quote, then I spoke with Kelly and adjusted a few items (removed some, added some), and after the move - we paid the quote exactly, no surprises. During the move, Kam and Forrest arrived on time (5 minutes early!) to our apartment complex. They carefully removed all the furniture and drove to our new house. The same care and professionalism was taken getting the furniture into the new house.
Extremely flexible with scheduling, allowing us to schedule for a very quick turn-around and at a very reasonable price. No damage to or loss of furniture or possessions. Kind, courteous, professional and fun. Would highly recommend and use again.

This is the first moving company I ever hired. I was hesitant for many reasons but I was SOOOOO glad I made the choice to hire them. I worked with Joe who promptly answered all of my questions. He assessed our belonging and provided tips and tricks to prepare for the move. On moving day Joe and his team worked quickly and carefully to load things up into the truck.
