Fort Lauderdale Local Movers (long-distance relocation, piano, and office moving)

If I could give -10 starts I would. When I received the quote of $500 for 3hrs for a truck and 2 man I booked for the move with no problem. The day of the moving they arrived 15 mins late, then spent 15 mins working on their truck door that was not opening, I was pleased to know they wave 30 mins since they didn’t start on time but 30 mins after. The driver gave me the paperwork to sign and they started wrapping everything.

Fake reviews has to be, they are literally moving things into my home now. Damaged a desk which was only $100 off of Amazon and wasn’t taking accountability at all. Out of all the things I own, being my child’s bedroom set which is $3,000 from Pottery Barn why would I pick $100 desk to lie about for damages. We were quoted $700 for the move, distance, size of apt, number of boxes, furniture descriptions were all given. Along with description of the building we were moving out of. Per the movers this was a 3+ man job and only 2 were sent. I was told 2 hours to move out and 2 hours to move in and $150 per additional hour. its was a 4+ hour move out (they didn't get everything) and a 3 hour move in. The owner should have known better. I requested a refund due to having to pay in order to get my things.

The movers themselves were fine, but the office and scheduling staff are the reason for this review. I scheduled a 12:00pm arrival window and confirmed multiple times that showing up on time “wouldn’t be a problem.” I made it very clear I had somewhere to be afterward, and the office repeatedly reassured me. Despite that, the crew arrived approximately 3.5 hours late. They were running behind all day, yet the office continued telling me everything was on track instead of being honest about the delay.

The staff and owner are kind and respectful but I was disappointed in the quality of the work I received. The estimate of 5 hours became in reality 10. I was very clear as to the size of the storage unit (10 x 20) filled to capacity, plus a stop for a one bedroom. The truck wasn’t big enough for the storage unit alone so we didn’t complete the move out of the storage unit or pick up the one bedroom.

Horrible communication and professionalism!!! I hired Ft Lauderdale Local Movers to move a single piano from FL to NC. They picked up the piano on October 6th....I have still not received the piano. it is has been two weeks and they cannot give me an estimated time for delivery! I have called multiple times and spoken to three different people who keep telling me they will call back, but they never do. When they do answer my phone calls there is always an excuse.

Not recommended! They offered me an estimated total of $350 in the beginning. In the end, paid a total of $1,300 to move some 1BR furniture (not even boxes) across the street into a new apartment. Was charged $399 for "packaging material" that was sold as "mandatory for insurance purposes". The only thing they did was wrapping an IKEA couch into way too much plastic... Was asked to pay cash and give both guys at least $50 tip, because "Zelle was not working".

I will never use this company or refer them to anyone! Let me start by saying for $1,100.00 for 6.5 hours (which shouldn’t have even took this long😫) is ridiculous. This company sent two workers out to move a 3 bedroom home, which I already had everything box and furniture apart. One of the workers was drunk 🥴 and argumentative with the other worker so unprofessional! The workers tried to charge additional fees to move my TVs which I had to still bring in my own vehicle!
