Solomon & Sons Relocation Services

I hired Solomon & Sons Relocation Services to move from NJ to TX, and my experience was extremely disappointing. When I booked, I was told it would be a direct ship with no other stops, and delivery would take no more than 5–6 days. The movers came on July 28 to start disassembling and wrapping our things and officially left on July 29.

BEWARE. Lessons, mistakes and an egregious breach of ethics. It’s not in my nature to write negative reviews, but if my experience helps even one person avoid what I went through, then some good will come of it. • Lesson 1: Insist on a thorough walk-through and/or perform a full inventory Do not rely on photos alone; I submitted comprehensive, multiple-angle photos to the moving coordinator of my small 312 sq. ft.

Really awful experience. I have ptsd from them. We have moved cross country 4 times. This was the worst moving experience we have EVER had. Even the truck driver confirmed Solomon and Sons is one of the worst companies they have worked for. We had to pay out of pocket for a uhaul and Craig’s list helpers (on house arrest, that Solomon chose) to finish the move. One of the helpers was peaking in on my kids in a separate room while I was giving feedback on where things should go.

They showed up on time and packed and moved all of my belongings, one house, two garages and one shed. I told them that the items I did not want moved would be tagged with bright green masking tape. I was not able to oversee the move so they were on their own. When I got my furniture at my new house, not only did they moved the stuff I didn't want moved but upon unpacking they had managed to break so much stuff by improperly packing.

Our experience with Solomon & Sons was terrible. I thought we found the breed company for our move. We had a great customer service representative. She was helpful, knowledgeable and understanding of our situation. Once we finally settled on a date to move, the driver called three days ahead of time and said we needed to move earlier. I had to scramble to get everything ready. The morning of he showed up with his team and literally threw our stuff in boxes.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Solomon Brothers was so unprofessional and disorganized that I feel others should be warned. From start to finish, the process was filled with issues. They shattered part of a glass stairway during the move and never took accountability for the damage. Closets were left unpacked, and when we questioned them, they insisted the job was complete, even though it clearly was not.

My family used Solomon & Son's for relocating out of state halfway across the country. The customer rep I spoke with, Dustin, to book the service guaranteed a delivery date since it was several weeks in advance. I went with them specifically since we could do this. Once I scheduled pickup, it became almost impossible to get a hold of anyone at the company or their partner Eden's Moving Services. I had to call to get the arrival time for pickup.

So, after this review posted I received a call from Solomon’s. Was told I misunderstood the email telling me I would receive $12 for my losses. Then I’m told they will look for a furniture company to come & repair furniture, they will be in touch. It hasn’t been a week since that call so I’ll refrain from dismissing their promise for now but I am not holding my breath. I stand behind my opinion of this company. They talk a good game but…. There is no senior discount & not a good explanation regarding insurance.
