Haulin' Assets Moving & Storage

Showed up 3.5 hours late. They did give us a 3rd mover for “free” to make up for that. Upon payment, price was more than originally quoted during initial phone call. A few days after moving, our bed collapsed due to it not being put together correctly. I paid out of pocket to buy replacement parts for it, I was never reimbursed for that. I am also missing the glass table top to the patio set. I was told it would be replaced, however it never was. I’m left with a broken bed and missing table piece.

I would not recommend a move with Haulin Assets. Despite their cute tagline—"We always use protection"—this clearly was not the case with our belongings, which were handled roughly and carelessly, leading to much damage, including irreparably torn chairs and a gashed wardrobe, and at least four furniture pieces with missing and/or broken legs.

We booked Haulin Assets to do a move for us and while beforehand everything seemed fine, we ended up losing a sentimental item (Engagement and Wedding Ring) during the move. Under normal circumstances we would have assumed we misplaced the item and that is on us, but since we found the holding box to the rings with the rings missing we clearly knew something was wrong.

Im so disappointed. I tipped these people my hard earned money before I opened any boxes. Although it felt like a very quick and painless move, the pain is now opening boxes (that I put together so carefully for almost a month to prepare), broken. I labeled them to clearly indicate where it went and if it was fragile. I spent lots of money on bubble wrap and took the time to wrap everything. Almost $2,000 to move down the street to save time has cost me more than that. Irreplaceable items gone.

I chose Haulin Assets because the typical movers that I go with jacked up the prices significantly from the last time I used them. But the grass is not always greener on the other side, I was very disappointed with these movers. The lady I spoke to when I originally scheduled the move made me think I would have three movers and the move would be quicker than most. Let me tell you that was not the case.

They were ok. Showed up on time, but that's about it. They scratched the entire front of an antique piece (circa 1920) of furniture by shoving into a space it obviously didn't fit into. His response was "Well I think I did pretty good up till this point " It's sad that those are the standards of movers today. Now, I get the benefit of finding, and paying, someone who can match the stain and craftsmanship of early American made furniture. Also, they didn't strap anything down.

We contacted Haulin Assets to move is from our home and storage unit to our new home a few miles away. While the move did go pretty well all in all, there was an issue. When I booked the move they went thru an entire walk thru of what we were moving in detail to judge the number of men it would take. My biggest concern was we have a hot tub. I was assured that they had moved many before and that this wasn't an issue. I got my quote for 3 movers and the truck and I was happy for it.

April 2026 My second experience with this company this week and I was quite disappointed. I had the same amount of furniture from the first moving service I had last year and it took a total of 2 hours. This time around the movers took nearly 4 hours, which resulted in me having to pay $615 compared to the $300 I paid the first time. They were physically not capable of the job and took very long to load up. They also did not wrap the headboard and base board of my canopy bed and dragged in on the tile floor.
