If you need to put your stuff in storage for awhile before you can get it to a permanent residence, I would recommend getting your own storage facility and personally oversee the storage process. Don't use their storage facilities. You don't have access to your stuff and may not get a lot of what is stored back when you're ready. Even after several months, I still find things missing that I know were put into the moving van.
