We used Funks moving on June 13th of this year. What started out strong ended in frustration on both sides. In stead of writing out a long detailed timeline of events, I’ll sum it up to pros and cons. Pro: - moral was high and attitudes were positive at the beginning of the move - Movers were friendly - One of the movers maintained her attitude and professionalism the whole move - Movers communicated well Cons: - Driver was 15 mins late and blamed it on having to get gas - Movers overheard insulting our furniture…
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your June 13th move. While we are glad you noted the friendliness and communication from part of the crew, we are deeply sorry for the frustration and disappointment you experienced throughout the rest of the day.
Funk's came highly recommended from a friend, the quote was reasonable and we felt they would respect our belongings, so we booked. Less than 1 month before our moved I recieved an email that they would no long be able to accommodate us and they cancelled. I emailed back and forth with a staff member who was rude and not at all apologetic, who in the end offered to change our dates (which was after the possession date and would not have worked at all. Such a stressful situation to be put in.

Not impressed with the driver/truck at this company. He pulled out onto the Yellowhead Highway without stopping, billowing black smoke from the truck and then proceeded to tailgate a car that wasn't going fast enough for him before speeding through a construction zone (loose chips), spitting up debris all over the other cars on the road.
Very expensive. They charged me over %50 of their original highest estimate. False representation of the facts and made up hours. Do not recommend at all.

We hired Funk’s Moving recently and were absolutely amazed at their excellence. Hiring movers can be a stressful decision, but I am so glad we chose this company. Our incredible team from Funk’s was Kris, Kia, and Sawyer. They were kind, honest, respectful, and 3 of the hardest working individuals I have ever met. Communication with the company organizers before the move was great. They were prompt to reply to our emails and always answered our questions with great detail.

Highly recommend Funk’s Moving & Storage! The team that handled our move, Mike, Greg & Sawyer we’re a pleasure to work with. They were pleasant, efficient, polite and knowledgeable. Mike even gave us a brief history of the company! Everyone knew their roles and they worked very well together. Most importantly they loaded all of our furniture from two storage units, transported and unloaded it all into our new home without a single item being damaged, for which we are extremely grateful.

It was such a wonderful experience from the very beginning when Cara Erik and Erica first arrived at the property and they were walking through. I could feel their empathy that they had as I had to leave this place. Erik was so wonderful in the sense that he took great care not tomorrow any surfaces and they made sure both himself and Erica when they were moving goods out to the moving truck that Wrapped up the products and made sure that nothing was going to be broken.

First time using a moving company and we would do it again (if this was the team). The experience was smooth as one could hope, everyone involved was personable, hard working and easy to be around. All of these factors are key when they are 'invading' your privacy aka moving all your things. They did a perfect job of putting together and taking apart beds, one of which was a king size HEAVY bed with hydraulic storage - slept on it and good as new.
