In their own words
Overall the movers where nice and pleasant. However it took 10 hours to move an 1800 sq ft row home 20 miles away. We also had to pay for their lunch hour at $260/hr. We had a couple broken items (One of the movers was honest about one of them) we only discovered our broken bed frame once we attempted to put it on the wall. They also spilled dirt on the floor of the old house and didn't clean it up. Overall we are moved but it took a long time and had a couple items broken. Not the greatest value IMO.

We hired Gentle Giant to move the contents of a 950 sq ft apartment 1.3 miles away. On July 26 three movers showed up and began packing, the move was completed on July 27. We paid extra for more comprehensive moving insurance with the grand total coming in just shy of $3200. They were not the cheapest moving company but we went with them due to their reputation. Some of our furniture was destroyed in the move, some was damaged, but ultimately Gentle Giant made it right.

I saw a “Gentle Giant” moving truck near my home this morning— we live in a historic neighborhood in Philadelphia with narrow one-way streets — and I was struck by the height of the GG moving truck. I immediately began to worry about why such a high truck was operating on our street. So not surprised, though very saddened, to walk outside this evening and see HUGE, huge branches of one of our very valued street trees lying across the street and sidewalk.

The movers broke numerous furniture pieces moving items too quickly even with our comments of please be gentle and slow down. A dresser drawer fell from a movers hand that was skipping (yes skipping), and he lost control of his footing and …
These people wanted me to pay them $900-$1000 to move me 10 minutes away from my house. And all they were taking was my furniture! No boxes no bags no clothes, nothing, just furniture from 2 bedrooms and a living room. Needless to say I …

I guess their booking dept is too busy. I can't even get a quote on my move. Maybe they are not interested in the job. Maybe my email got lost in the cloud... Either way. Email silence since Monday. It's a darn shame.

Gentle Giant was amazing!! I can’t recommend them enough. They moved me out of my apt in Philly, picked up many items in storage and then moved me into a townhouse in the suburbs. They were kind, courteous, flexible, and just nice people! It was not an easy job, especially in the extreme heat, but they handled everything efficiently and quickly. I had a lot of heavy furniture and delicate items and they managed everything so professionally - taking great care of all of our furniture and belongings.

Gentle Giant has been my go-to moving company for over 17 years. I just finished using the Winchester and Philly offices..I have NY GG in 3 weeks. I am consolidating apartments and moving into a home outside of Philadelphia, and I CANNOT say enough about this company. They pack every item, check-in with you throughout the process, transport without losing or breaking one item, and unpack it all too.

Best moving company ever! Definitely book them for your move you will be impressed & very happy! Everything was fully packed & unpacked which is fantastic because they take ALL the paper & boxes with them after they are done & leave. Basically you get white glove service along with very great reasonable pricing. The moving crew was professional, courteous, polite & fast! Everything was handled with the utmost care moving out of my house, going into storage & then moving into my new house.
