Avoid Get Mover Barrie —The worst worst worst moving company . This deserves zero start. Highly Unreliable & Deceptive even Get Mover Barrie is completely unreliable and operates deceptively. They were scheduled to arrive at my home at 2:00 PM on July 31st, but they never showed up. When they stopped answering my calls, I went to their listed office address, only to discover it was just a shared workspace with no actual staff present.
Scammers, took 11 hours to do a local 1 bedroom move, broke 2 pieces of furniture, once half the load was on the truck, the extortion started. Up from a 3 hr estimate it went to four. 2 hours into the move, it became 7 hours and client service manager called to "discuss". I had no family or friend locally, no feasible option. Before the end of this move, once partially unloaded, they came and insisted I pay the bill before the job was done. They said it was their policy and that this was industry standard.

Move was to start at 2 PM was told 15 minutes before 2 that they’re in Hamilton. Didn’t start until after 4PM with 11PM completion. Over charged, lack of and poor communication. Extra charges that weren’t agreed on or communicated till payment. 2 bedroom condo took 7 hours. All furniture and rooms were broken down and put into the living room so it would be easy to move before they arrived. Photo attached.
Hired them for a move recently, have dealt with numerous movers over time. These have to be the slowest moving movers imaginable. And they had to use the washroom twice for EXTENDED periods of time where I lost a good half hour, not to mention a 15 minute SMOKE break! I DID NOT PAY $130/hour for this!

My friend and I made a reservation to help my friend with a move, but no one showed up at the scheduled time. Customer service was terrible, and it was impossible to communicate with anyone. I even went to the company's listed address, but there was no company there.
To be completely honest, I was not impressed with the service. We moved a 3 bedroom house and the truck they had didn't fit all our stuff. We ended up having to rent a uhaul to get the rest of it. 2 of the movers were great and hard workers …
