Get Moving Home and Office

My moving experience was an absolute nightmare. Worst of the worst, cash in my purse and traveler checks in the passport holder were gone. The company and the movers are questionable and untrustworthy in a lot of ways. - Lack of punctuality : movers were scheduled to come between 8a-10a. Didn’t show up until 11:45a. - Inefficient: it took them a total of 5.5 hours to move 12 boxes that were sealed and located by the door, 1 queen bed, 2 couches, 1 coffee table, 1 dresser and 1 nightstand.

BUYER BEWARE!! This establishment is a Scam! I requested moving services for a small 1 bedroom w/ an average amount of furniture & boxes ( nothing oversized and no assemble/dissamble) and it took the movers close to 8 HOURS. They were moving extremely slow and taking 20 min breaks at a time. I actually tried to expediate the moving process by helping them load my belongings ( which defeats the purpose of hiring movers). My new leasing manager actually witnessed the 2 movers sitting in the truck most of the time.

Do not hire Get Moving Home and Office. They are very friendly and willing to talk to you until they drop your refrigerator off the back of their truck. I hired them to move my stuff on 8/23. When unloading my refrigerator, the mover didn't come down the ramp straight and over the edge it went, leaving dents and scratches all over the fridge. Mike and Paul were contacted immediately as well as provided with pictures. I talked to them on the phone, they said they would send a technician out to look at it.

This company promotes as “ Veteran owned and operated…” yet none of the movers were Veterans. Sad marketing gimmick. The final bill was outrageous and billed to my credit card with no hesitation. Day of move told they will show up between 8:00 and 10:00. At 9:23 get a call the “ETA is 50 minutes.” They arrive after 10:30. Being billed for time of travel from Mesa to my home.

COO Mike from Get Moving Home and Office confirmed me on the scheduled on May 5th. for moving date(5/30/20)guaranteeing that my service would include: Show up time between 8am-10am, disabling, load to truck, unload to new location, unload items and reassemble in the rooms assigned. I scheduled a carpet cleaning company from 11am-1pm to allow plenty of time for the movers to get things packed and loaded.

I am still waiting for your reaching out to me in regards to this post. And yet again still no call. This was the most horrible move experience in my entire 54 years of life. They were suppose to focus on big heavy items and the one guy kept grabbing a single small box bring to the truck then thake 5 or 10 mins waiting for the other guy then come back to get more...the very first piece of furniture is a tv cabinet made of sold wood and they dropped it at the bottom of mybstairs breaking it...then they break my…

I wanted so badly for this experience to be a great review. Within the first 45 mins I walked in on one of the movers taking a number two in my bathroom…..that experience basically set the tone for the rest of the day…the worst part is I smelt it…(said it was the carne asada fries…😬) I understand smoking urges, but on time I’m paying $135 an hr for? No, sir…I interrupted at least 3 smoke breaks.

I’m still waiting for Mike or Paul to call me back. It’s been 40 days since move. They broke and damaged some items. Mike said someone will call me to handle this but no one calls. I’m tired of reaching out to them with no response. Moved within same apartment complex and they still charged $125. Trip fee. Not happy with their service after the sale. Hope they contact me this week. I’ll have to hire attorney to get my items replaced/ repaired.
