**One star — a distressing and deeply disappointing experience** I engaged Gilbert Moving & Storage shortly after the sudden death of my mother, when I needed her household belongings and family heirlooms packed and prepared for international shipment from Arizona to the United Kingdom. I chose a professional moving company because I was grieving, living overseas, and needed to be able to trust that my parents’ possessions would be handled competently and with appropriate care.
At Gilbert Moving & Storage, we handle every customer's belongings with care and professionalism. Your shipment and subsequent claim were thoroughly reviewed based on the available documentation, inventories, photographs, and records provided by all parties.
I was given a quote from $600 to $809 so I did not call any other movers at the end of the day our cost was $1542.00 that's double of the original quote. My advice shop around and be prepared to pay way more than your quote with this company.
This estimate was done over the phone and was based off what was mentioned at the time, we understand plans can change last minute and is what happened with this move. Initially, we were to only pick up a select amount of items and place them into the garage at the destination.
Quoted to move a safe upstairs. Unable to get safe upstairs. Didn’t take $350 fee for delivering safe upstairs off bill. Dropped safe in entry way cracking the tile. Which I noticed. None of the movers were going to tell me. Cracked the keys cover on my piano. Again no one said anything. Broke display plastic on an arcade game. None have been fixed in 9 months. Gilbert Moving just sued me and reported on my credit because I can’t pay for a job done until the job is done. DON’T use this company!
The movers advised the customer that it was unsafe to lift a 900 lb safe upstairs. This customer was never charged and refused to pay his final bill before a claim could be submitted for said damages.
Says they're open til 10pm, but they're not. And they're false advertising. They're located in Mesa, not Gilbert. Dishonest

We had a cross-town move and it couldn't have gone any better. They came to the house, did a walk through and quoted a good price. Other moving companies did a quote over the phone. On moving day Joe, John and Ben showed up on time, were friendly and efficient. They wrapped the door frames, laid cover on the floors at both the old and new homes. No damage to the houses furniture or boxes. Overall super satisfied and HIGHLY recommend Gilbert Moving & Storage.👍

Our experience with Gilbert Moving & Storage was exceptional. I usually don't write reviews but I felt I needed to do so with this company. From start to finish, there was great communication. Their pricing was very upfront and affordable. Anything that I needed to pack was provided to me. Their estimate was practically spot on with what was needed. We had 4 guys on our move, Jaime, John, James & Chad. All wonderful, kind, hard working men. They showed up on time. Worked HARD from beginning to end.

Moving is one of the worst things, but these guys somehow made it enjoyable! The booking process was easy and thorough. Movers showed up right on time, and were eager to help. Mikel, David, and Jaime are the BEST movers ever!! They were organized, fast, and incredibly helpful with anything I needed. They were very careful with my stuff, and very careful not to damage or leave scuffs or a mess in my new house.

Great experience with Gilbert Moving and Storage. Jacob from the office was very polite and courteous. He explained everything over the phone and a few days later, he came by to do a quick walkthrough to be sure they got the estimate correct. And make sure everything would fit. We had a lot of stuff. Haha. A delayed at our new house caused us to adjust our move date. When I called, Jacob again was great and gave us no hassle to move our date by a week.
