Globe Moving & Storage Ltd

Items were damaged, items were lost. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Absolutely atrocious service, so bad I wrote my first google review. Showed up at 10am to collect items, told to wait. Then wait longer. Spent 2.5 hours waiting. When asked what’s the point in booking a time slot I was told we weren’t their priority and we could sit all say and they didn’t care. Watched their staff load the truck with absolutely no care.

Globe did a pick up/delivery. While picking up I asked if they could just lift something up for a few min so I can put the screws on. They did that. But one guy thought to do extra help while holding it to try to put the screws in. His extra help caused more issues as he was to ONLY HOLD IT. He put the screws in backwards caused me more work. I told him to stop and didn’t listen then I told him if he’s not going to listen go back to your truck. He started going off at me and then I went off at him.

The move with Globe moving and storage was something else. The front office was great and easy to deal with (before the move). The crew that they sent out to move my furniture (no appliances) needed something to be desired. My wife spent 2 weeks packing and organizing boxes and labeled every box as to which room the boxes were to be moved to. I dismantled all furniture. All our work organizing to make it as easy as possible for the guys (knowing it’s a very labour intensive job) went out the window.

We used Globe to move in July 2019 after a very positive experience a relative had with them. Unfortunately they crashed and burned with us. The crew we had was slow and poorly organized. My daughters stepped in and honestly had more hustle than the paid movers. They arrived over an hour later than our arranged time. Our crew was less than careful with our belongings which were prepackaged and in the garage just waiting to be loaded on to the truck.

Went with Globe because they came in house to do an evaluation of our space and they came back with a competitive quote. Day of, sent two of the slowest movers I have ever worked with and ended up charging us $800 over the quote. They had to send additional crew and the guy(who was the only one who seemed to know what was happening) even admitted that we were being treated unfairly.

Way too expensive, too many other fees...$1500 to 1800 for a two bedroom apartment for 5 to 6 hours.....crazy This is to the reply. You said it was because of the walking distance???? It is maybe 15 to 20 steps from loading dock to elevator, and maybe 10 steps from elevator to the apartment And from the drop off spot it is about 50 feet to the elevator, and 15 more steps to the apartment

Vasyl is a hardworking person. Got the dispatch job done accurately. The company sales team are very good. Unfortunately, very poor after sale service. Very disappointing experience.
