Two Small Men with Big Hearts

I’ve dealt with this moving company before last year. They were a big help with my first move (From an apartment to storage unit). But just recently (Aug1) I moved from my storage unit to a new apartment. I was told my move would start between 9-10am, I went to my storage place 30 minutes prior to 9am. I waited until 10am for a phone call.

My family hired TSM to move my 92-year-old dad's furniture from his condo to an assisted living facility. The move was to take place at 1 PM and when they had not shown up by 2 PM, I called & spoke to the office manager. After checking with the movers, she told me that there had been a huge delay with the previous move that morning and that now they wouldn't be able to move us until the next day.

I had this company move a room from my mother-in-law retirement unit to her nursing home and then to my home to be over charged!!! And to realize that they forgot to move a huge painting from the wall… when I specifically reminded the to do so….I called the location and spoke to the gentleman To explains what they had forgotten to move… I then told him that the unit need to be vacant as of the next day he told me that there was no compensation in this mater that the best was to ether put it in one off the driver…

I used this company 4 years ago and was happy so I called them back. i gave a detailed list and it was almost the same stuff as my last move. I got a quote for $900. When the movers got there i was told the machines were impossible to move, the same ones they brought. I had to call 2 of my employees and myself to help get all the stuff moved. I had to pay both workers for 4 hours each which of course is not included the bill.

Edited to add: [Andrew looked into our file and has reached out to us personally. We've been offered a partial refund to reflect our top rate quote. Although still on the high end this is completely acceptable and I appreciate the care and professionalism Andrew has conveyed in our communications. He has addressed our issues with respect and sincerity. I have changed our star rating to reflect this as well.

I wanted to leave a complete and fairly transparent review of my experience of Two Small Men, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We moved on (November 13th 2020) Friday the 13th , that said we were doomed to run into an issue of some sort! I’ll start by saying that overall, the crew was extremely pleasant, and I couldn’t say anything negative about their attitude and friendliness.

Not recommended! The appliance place we ordered from used this company and it has ruined moving companies for me. Do not sign the "no damage to property" line even if you don't see any. I noticed that they dented our brand new hand rail, and scrapped our new fridge against our brand new from door 5 minutes after the delivery guys left. When I called to have this issue fixed as the damage was noticed basically immediately following delivery, my claim was declined because that line was signed.

I was moving between cities, so we planned for the 3 days: packing, loading and driving, unloading. The movers spent the packing day shoving everything into boxes (including my iPad, which I needed), then shoving them into the truck in a disorganized way, then announced in the late afternoon that they wouldn't be able to fit everything (there was >1/3 of the truck left, plus they'd been loading some things that were supposed to stay behind) and would be leaving that night and sending a second truck the next day…
