Asked for a quote and based their pricing over google map that the pick up and drop off area is accessible. Did not give any information if issues come that there will be additional charges. Come drop off time, charged me $377 additional fee because the trailer to be used to unload is a 75footer. The truck used to pick up was a 40 footer. Why would it be my problem changing your trucks during drop off time? Third party mover was involved - GCVL moving company.

The move went nice and smooth, took a little longer than expected but I understand that happens. What frustrates me is we have already found two broken items and we've only unpacked a few boxes. There was a record player specifically marked "fragile, real record player inside" and they seemed to have ignored the writing and tossed it in their truck upside down, then somehow our microwave glass shattered as well. Now I find myself hoping we don't find anymore damaged items.
Hello Jake, We are sorry that you experience breakage during your move. We did go through our claims process with you and found that the microwave was not packed or not packed properly. The record player was packed in a box marked fragile but there was no protecting wrapping material inside.
I booked a long distance move with Sean. Sean has horrendous communication with his clients. I was never contacted/notified when delivery dates were changed, where and when my things were and the fact that my stuff was still in Winnipeg when I had been in Nanaimo for a month. The delivery driver had told me about the delay of my couch when he finished unloading then first portion that actually made it(Feb 2), over a month after pickup(Dec 28).
My wife and I were subjected to a most vile berating by employees of this company. It was a most embarrassing situation where two men were using expletives towards my wife and in front of my children. My wife told them she would call the manager when she was being cursed and they said call as they did not care nor feared any consequences. The secretary heard these individuals cursing out my wife before she handed the phone to the manager.
Hello Carey, We have addressed this negative review with your wife in a previous review. We appreciate your right to review us how you see fit. We have spoken to both of my employees to find out what happened that day and why there was so much hostility towards them.
We used riverbend to do our move yesterday. When i booked i was told that they could do it in the morning but it would be a 3 man crew so a little more per hour. I was quoted a significantly less amount than i was charged but that isn't my biggest complaint... we were booked for 830-9 am start. At about 830 i got a call that they were on their way...

Hired Riverbend moving to move from one house to another just a few blocks away in the same small town outside of winnipeg. On the morning of the move they didnt show up, they showed up at my address but in winnipeg, about an hours drive away. Mistakes happen... So instead of starting at 9 they started closer to noon. We had already packed up the majority of the house but left the larger items for the movers, specifically a treadmill and stand up freezer in the basement.
Hi Jim, You never did confirm your move with us but we made sure to accommodate you even though you did not confirm with us. We have NEVER missed a move EVER. We are actually the company that people call when their movers do not show up.
This company is a bad joke. Do you want your stuff moved fast, so fast that the drivers carrying your stuff don't care if they blow through stop signs or cause accidents on their way? Well then you found the right moving company! I would not recommend Riverbend moving to ANYONE. We hired them to move our belongings from our house in Winnipeg to an apartment building in downtown Toronto. Upon delivery in Toronto, it was discovered that a significant portion of our belongings were left behind in the Riverbend warehouse in Winnipeg. The items left behind seemed very random, with the end result being that, for example, we had only some pieces of the beds but not enough to assemble any of them, including the crib for our infant daughter.
Hello Dave, We know things did not go as planned when you hired us as your mover. We never denied nor hid from the fact that mistakes happened during your move. You were fairly compensated for the errors and damages.

I am really glad and relieved that I chose Riverbend for my move and I highly recommend this team. I had a long move from Winnipeg to Halifax (June 2024) and they were not only very efficient and friendly but also very fairly priced. There were no hidden fees. Open, quick and clear communication throughout the whole process. I had only a couple of minor damage done to a few items that were not in boxes (most of which honestly could have been prevented if I had been more careful with the wrapping).

We had to postpone our out of town move with only one days notice, as our building was not ready. It was not an issue with the movers at all. Then we were notified a week later our building was ready on a monday morning and they were able to accomodate us with the move on the tuesday. The crew was excellent and respectful. They arrived on time and were very efficient loading. Once at the apartment they got two more people to help. What was supposed to be a 12 hour move was done in 8.5 hours.
UDO, Harry, and Tony were pleasant to deal with helping my parents move is no easy task for me. I felt instantly at ease after help facilitating the past year with my folks that have not moved in Forty Years. Overall, these three gentleman were unphased meaning they took direction extremely well, diligent , clear lines of communication between each other , my parents, and I of where to handle products, boxes; loading; and unloading being extremely careful along with alleviating stress amongst the three of us…

Riverbend was amazing for our move this week. We moved from a 4 bedroom home to a 5 bedroom, 3 storey giant house. Chris did a detailed estimate that was accurate and timely. I got a call the day before to confirm the move time was still good and then moving day happened without a hitch. Ken, Russell and Juan were so fast, easygoing had fun but also took the job seriously. They mentored the younger mover and worked well as a team.
