Not really good on my experience our tv and speakers are broken and sound bar is missing.their sub contractor movers are careless in front of me. how much more if u are not warching.stay away from canada van lines.They dont deserved 1 star even.

Moved from Saskatchewan to BC. The people in the office were super responsive and nice but they kept lying about delivery which was delayed by over two weeks and they broke a few pieces of furniture. Had to make space for a semi truck outside a condo, not easy. They just sub contact to different companies, the guys who picked up the stuff were good but the guys who delivered it were a rag tag group the truck driver paid on the side and did not want to be there.

Worst customer service and experience. Truck broke down and they didn't tell us. I had to call in when they were an hour late. Then to find out they don't deliver for week or two. Rude! Then wouldn't compensate for all the confusion and wrong doing. Keep my deposit found another company that could actually accommodate. GM Relocation ! Shout out!

I used GCVL for a move from Vancouver to Toronto in 2021. This was my first time using movers, and it was a terrible experience. Here is a short list of the problems with GCVL: 1) The salesperson was very hands-on and made lots of promises, but as soon as I had paid I never heard from her again. 2) GCVL called me 30 minutes before my movers were supposed to arrive to tell me they would be a few hours late.
Our experience with GCVL was just terrible. In May my wife asked a quote to GVCL- it was at 4500lb. They claimed industry standard 650 cubic feet multiplied 7 (?!?). In the next days we updated our List of Goods to make sure we had a better estimate. Ignored. During the first phone call though, they gave us only one option, the "Minimum weight 4000lbs" and delivery in three days. There was, conveniently, no mention of other (longer) options.
Hi Andrea, It is very interesting that on the day the Better Business Bureau closed your file on a complaint that you filed with them, that you filed a negative review on Google - see the BBB response below.
I contacted the company for a quote for a inter-provincial move. Easy enough, filled out a form and minutes later received an email with a quote. What then happened is that I received 4 additional emails and one text message over a two day period each asking about a "virtual tour" of our home. While I appreciate that getting further information about what we will be moving is important, I suggest that providing a quote and then sending several emails and a text message is kind of spamy.

Great Canadian Van Lines assisted my family in moving from Toronto to Vancouver a few months ago. I was very appreciative that our shipment arrived earlier than predicted and the driver was very pleasant to work with. The movers were efficient and experienced. However I am extremely disappointed that I have had not one, but several items missing. Although we contacted the driver to inform them, there has been no follow up on missing inventory. It's unfortunate that the stress of moving remains unresolved.
We had a move from SK to BC and decided to hire GCVL. They promised to deliver our stuff between Aug 2 and Aug 8, but they eventually delivered (with some minor damages !!)on Aug 11 and offered 150$ in return ! Not a pleasant experience at all.

I had an exceptional experience from start to finish. The driver in Toronto, Balraj, went above and beyond—he texted me two days in advance, confirmed access to my locker, and even sent a photo once everything was cleared out. That level of communication immediately put me at ease. The team in Vancouver was just as impressive. Gary called to confirm all of the logistics in advance. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, and carefully stacked everything exactly as I requested.

Highly recommended to anyone moving within Canada—they truly gave us great value for our money. The entire move was fast and efficient, the inventory was accurate, and they took extra care to protect all of our belongings. We moved from New Brunswick to BC. Everything arrived in the right condition, even our particle wood furnitures, which companies usually can’t fully guarantee because of the material. The team was quick and well-coordinated, so all we had to do was sit back and let them handle the heavy lifting.

We recently moved with GCVL Ltd from Vancouver Island to Montreal. Initial Booking Process Sara was incredibly helpful and kind throughout the entire process (initial contact, sending us quotes, transparency about prices, getting back to us promptly and not pressuring us for services). Moving price was very reasonable! 6 Stars for Sara! Pick Up Movers were quick, professional, and on time for pick up on Vancouver Island. We called once to find out where the moving van was and received a response quickly.
