If I could give 0 stars I would. Warning read the bad reviews and read how the owner responds. The owner will come to give you a quote and be all nice and friendly at first. He will reassure you if they cause any damage it will be taken care of right away. This is all a lie. During my move they broke and damaged many things. When I questioned the owner about all the damage he said he’d come right away. I thought this was great but it wasn’t. He screamed and swore at me and told me my stuff was “sh*t”.

Avoid This Company. Positive Reviews Are Misleading. We were charged nearly 3 times the quoted estimate, and customer service responded with extreme hostility and unprofessionalism when we questioned the discrepancy. We rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was serious enough that future customers should be warned. We were quoted 4–6 hours with 3 movers for a standard 2-bedroom townhouse move.

STAY AWAY from 'My City Movers'. They were subcontracted to work with us and weren't what we had expected. The movers themselves were nice young men, but there was poor time management and our truck wasn't big enough for our move, even though we were told it would be. In the end our local move was almost DOUBLE the TIME and COST than expected (almost 12 hours for a 3 bedroom rancher). The manager replied that my husband was 'happy', he wasn't, I told him to pay the young men and that I would speak to the manager.

A few weeks ago, on April 18, I had a move and signed a contract with this company. When I showed them my place, I explained that I was moving from an apartment to a house. During the contract, they told me that six movers would come, explained the hourly rate, and said they would bring two trucks. I also clearly told them that my new house has a steep driveway. However, when they arrived, they were unable to bring the truck up to the house.

My City Movers were professional from the first phone call to Lina. She was so helpful on the phone, carefully explaining the process. Also, she explained the pitfalls of other moving companies charging for extras like overweight items and stairs. She explained they didn't hide costs. Booking was easy and straight forward. Moving day: I must say the two fellas who came - Sam and Brent - were very friendly, personable and helpful.

We planned our move for a while and did lots of research to find a moving company. My City Movers had great recommendations, but we had such a bad experience and have been ignored by the company so wanted to help others avoid the same mistake. We wanted professional movers that would carefully move our items and keep our home clean. - When the movers came into our home for an initial review they did not remove their very dirty shoes and I had to ask them to remove them.

My one star doesnt have to do with a move. It has to do with the secretary Alena. Not only is she rude to deal with she refused to proved me with a quote on a letterhead via pdf file even after explaining to her I need it to give my company because they are the ones paying for the move. I know its not hard to make a letterhead letter. Every company has letterheads. So unfortunately I had to go with another company Homeland moving and logistics.

This company has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced. I understand that some things go wrong during a big move, but it is how things are handled that show the integrity of a company. Vadim was so petty and rude that we told him to leave our house, and he said, “I don’t need customers like you.” It’s customers like us that move and the reason why My City Movers is in business. If he doesn’t need customers like us, then I am sure he won’t need customers like you either.
