So I was contact via text message about quoting a price on my move. Which I find highly unprofessional considering this is a business but hey, everyone texts these days but I work with my hands. So I explained to I believe her name is “Kelsey” that I could not text but to call me if she could beat a $400 quote that I had already gotten from another moving company. Kelsey called about an hour later and I gave her my itemized list of my belongings and she said “We can do your move for $370” I said great!
You're NOT going to have a great day using Great Day Moving. On site over 2 hours late. Driver said truck wouldn't start, owner's wife said they were on another job. It doesn't help that the driver won't answer owner's wife's (sister-in-law) phone calls. Paid for 1 of the 2 movers to surf his phone for a total of at least an hour -- found him sitting in the cab or the back of the truck with his phone multiple times. Be prepared to do a lot of the work yourself since these are NOT professional, experienced movers.
The guys that came were nice and professional to my face, but did not put a treasured chair into the truck. They took the recliner chair into their own truck and did not put it in the uhaul we supplied for them. It will now cost me $1800+ to replace the chair since they will not return my call and the email address is returning to sender. Use these guys if you can keep a close eye on them. Otherwise they will steal your stuff behind your back.
I received a quote of $300 to move 5 things from my home. 6 days before the move they changed the price to $936. Terrible customer service and not good business to stand behind a quote that your employee presented in writing.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding Moving Experience! I can’t say enough good things about Great Day Moving. From the very first call to the final piece of furniture being placed exactly where I wanted it, the entire experience was smooth, professional, and stress-free. The team showed up on time, ready to work, and with a genuinely positive attitude that made the whole day feel easier.
We had a great experience with this local moving company. The consultation was easy and Reasonable price compared to other moving companies I received quotes from. Day of, they were timely and very efficient. The crew was professional, and made the moving process much less stressful. They placed furniture exactly where we requested, hooked up washers/dryers, built beds, etc. it was great. I was shocked the team could move us so quickly.
My wife and I made a move from Lenexa to St Pete’s, FL and called Dana for some direction as our plans were a little unique. I was totally surprised that Dana and Roger had a “White Glove Service” program custom to my needs. With Convid-19, our actual move date was a moving target and couldn’t rent in FL until the last moment. “No Problem” was all I heard and the service I received. They arrived at 8:00 am with their crew, had me packed up in 2.5 hours, and our stuff was loaded into storage a few days later.
Had a fantastic experience! I’ve had absolutely horrible experiences with movers in Kansas City and was so relieved when my move with Great Day was nothing short of amazing. Booking was easy yet thorough, as was all the communication throughout the entire experience. The actual move was so quick and organized. And even though they were moving so swiftly, every employee made sure they were putting things in the right place and moving things in the ways I wanted.
