Moovers of KC North - Moving and Storage

I wish I could give this company 0 stars.... We had a horrible moving experience. The lady sounded very friendly and professional over the phone at first. One of the movers was good and profesional. However, the other one showed up on flip flops to work I busted him seating in the car on his phone pushing the moving time...

last experience was terrible. They were supposed to send three workers, but only two showed up—and one of them barely worked. I had already moved most of my own items, leaving only the heavier pieces. What should have taken about two hours dragged into over four, just so they could overcharge me more than $1,000. They lied to the manager, claiming they carried all my boxes and totes by hand, when in reality they used a two-wheeler the entire time (I have it recorded).

I’m very disappointed with movers .. they broke my leg on my Grandfather clock .. they didn’t give me back my remote to my recliner sectional now my recliner don’t recline without the box. They broke the tops on 2- of my electric fireplaces .. they took money $213.76 out my account without my permission . They were 41/2 hours late ..

Competitive pricing. However, The movers worked slow(i was taking items down as well and made at least two trips to their one), damaged furniture and the claims department does not respond to emails or calls. I WOULD NOT recommend this company. Upon finally getting in touch with the claims department they told me to send via certified mail a couple of documents. I did so which cost me $12.50 to mail and was never contacted by the company.

These people damaged new furniture and would not repair it until I signed an agreement that refuted the poor handling of my furniture by their personnel, and the lack of resolution to the damage. They used only 2 men to move what required a minimum of 4. Moving from a 3300 S.F. home to a 1700 S.F. condo on the 2nd floor with an elevator being used as access was absolutely ridiculous. My furniture is new, yet they first said I knew it was damaged prior to loading. This is unbelievable to say the least!

Overall, this was a horrible experience. In the beginning, was impressed with the follow up. Original call I had a 20% off coupon, which was for a fixed price quote, but was told I would save more by just going hourly as my two bedroom move would only take three hours. After finished and complaining, was given a small refund, but nothing what it should have been. Breaks seemed a bit excessive, since I was basically charged for their lunch which is over $100.

Belinda was easy to deal with and handled the paperwork and scheduling wonderfully. However, the 2 guys who showed up to move my stuff were horrible. The email from Moovers stated they would disassemble/disconnect all standard beds, washers, dryers, dishwashers, and refrigerators, however, they showed up with no tools and no apology. My husband had to stop in the middle of painting at our new house, pack up his tools, and drive over to our home we were moving out of to assist them.

I’m not usually the kind of individual who publishes negative messages, but I feel compelled to share my recent moving experience and warn potential customers to NEVER use Moovers, located in Kansas City. Initially, I felt that choosing Moovers was a good decision, but once the move began things quickly fell apart. Due to their trucks being already scheduled, it necessitated my belongings to be stored in their warehouse for two days.
