In their own words
The morning that we were moving the movers arrived two hours early. However, they were both very nice and got to work quickly even though we weren't totally ready for them. They were so efficient and loaded our entire house in just a few hours. We expected to a lot to do after they left but they did much more then we expected. So, momentarily we were more than pleased. However, when we arrived at our new house that quickly went away.
Extremely disappointed. I had scheduled my move to have them come pick up a heavy item that I was not able to move myself which we had agreed upon timing and logistics. They made the executive decision to bypass our plan and show up to my new place. They called me and sounded very annoyed that I was not at my place when they arrived. No phone call to say that they were just going to not perform a service that was asked of them. They mishandled all of my belongings as they had another job later that day.
I called got a quote for moving a dining room set. Jerry quoted me $275.00 for the move. The bill came to $408.00. Not thrilled at the almost 50% jump in cost. Will not refer or recommend. I don't like feeling taken advantage of. If I did this to my clients I would not have any!
Terrible. Told us on moving day they would have to charge us more than what they gave us as an estimate. Called the owner after. He did nothing.

We had a great experience with Grosse Pointe Moving and Storage during our recent move. Zac, the moving sales manager, was professional, responsive, and made the entire process feel organized and stress-free from the beginning. Our movers — John, Umar, and Nicquan — were outstanding. They were punctual, hardworking, careful with our belongings, and incredibly respectful throughout the move. They worked efficiently while still taking the time to protect furniture and make sure everything was handled properly.

They has been my go-to for the past 20 years, and they never disappoint! They’ve handled all of our moves in Grosse Pointe, plus a few smaller jobs along the way. Most recently, I had a special delivery, and the entire process was simple. From the initial phone call to the office staff to the drivers, every single person I dealt with was friendly, professional, and competent. Quoting was simple, AND they even came in under the estimate!

I cannot say enough good things about Grosse Pointe Moving and Storage. With my husband suffering from a shoulder injury that culminated in surgery just before the Christmas holiday, I knew it would take two days to get everything sanely moved from our home of almost 32 years and into our new place. Grosse Pointe Moving & Storage (GPM&S) is a moving company to trust moving your belongings! In the moving sector, it's rare to read such a glowing customer review. I spoke to Kyle regarding my 'local' move. All my household items were shipped cross country in 2 micro shipping containers and were sitting in a freight depot in Romulus. I needed the contents of the containers unloaded into a moving truck, transported to downtown Detroit, then unloaded and moved up to my new apartment.
