I am very, so unbelievably disappointed in this service we paid $393 for. Not only did one of the movers spend most of his time on his phone smoking outside our house, but when they moved our furniture in they damaged our bed set and damaged our wall in our brand new build house. We literally had everything wrapped and ready for them to simply load on the truck and unload at the new house, we didn't even ask them to assemble the bed once we had it in the new house and yet it took them HOURS to do all of it, why?
Hello Mrs Loomis we are sorry you were not happy with our services. We always strive for great service. According to our records your move was estimated for 3 to 4 hours. It took 2 1/2 hours. We apologize for damaging the wall.
A year before hiring Half Priced movers, I rented a truck and moved myself into a rental house while I saved money to buy. My girlfriend and I were able to load/unload the truck in about 6 hours and moved everything in one load. We even saved the boxes so we could use the same ones to pack the following year. When I bought my house, I hired half-price movers, who sent someone out to do an estimate. When the move occured, it took three movers about 8 hours and cost 40% above the estimate.
We sincerely apologize for the experience you described; the unexpected 40% overcharge, items left behind, and lack of follow-up fall far short of the service we aim to provide. We will review your job file and the estimator’s documentation to determine what went wrong and why the crew left…
Movers arrived about four hours after the end of the appointment. Moved my one bedroom apartment furniture and boxes to a house. I understand a scratch here or there but they completely shattered a standing lamp and scratched up the entire surface of an entry table. The cost exceeded the quote too. Regarding the damages, their policy reimburses minimally for damages. I understand you take a risk when you hire movers but this was all around a horrible experience.
We’re very sorry to hear about the delay, the damaged items, and the unexpected charges — this is not the level of service we strive to provide. We take these concerns seriously and will investigate the late arrival, the lamp and table damage, and the billing discrepancy.
They should change their name 1/2 wit moves. They quote you a price that is 1/3 of actual, too lazy to place all items in boxes, then the movers come in following day and refuse to take anything not in a box. Therefore, You pay far more than quoted and receive half of the work necessary to complete the job.
We're very sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. What you describe, including an inaccurate quote, incomplete packing by our team, and movers refusing items not boxed, falls far short of the service standards we expect.
I wish I could give no stars. The two young men who moved us stole a box of vintage video games and video game systems. They were very sneaky about it and got it past regular protocols. Also there is nothing half price about the cost. Beware if you use.
Hello Tracy, I think you may have the wrong moving company. We show no record of you moving with our company. Would you please contact us ASAP to discuss. We have no contact information for you. If you scheduled a move with our company you were provided a quote ahead of time.
The insurance they carry only covers 60 cents per POUND if something is broken. Can you imagine one of them dropping your flat-screen TV and being reimbursed $10!!! Use someone professional instead.
Hello Regina we sent you the contract prior to your move date for you to review. Unfortunately you choose the Minimum the state requires Movers to pay. We do offer increased Liability (Replacement) if the customer accepts it on the BOL. You do have a choice to accept before we start your move.
This company ended up charging me $400! FOR A ONE BEDROOM MOVE ON THE SAME PROPERTY. I used this place over a year ago and it was horrible. I needed the help with my king bed, washer, dryer, and couch. I thought it would be afordable, since I was only moving a few buildings over in the same apartment complex. I was quoted around $200 for about 2 hours. I figured it was fair timing, and still better than doing it on my own. The driver couldn’t figure out how to park.
Hello, I’m sorry but I think you have the wrong moving company. Our company takes great pride in our service. We would be more than happy to research your complaint but unfortunately you have posted an anonymous review. Why would you post a negative review on any service a year later?
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY if I could give it less than one star I would. The management staff is extremely unprofessional. There was numerous discrepancies with the show times and quotes. However that can be chalked up to miscommunication. What can not be forgiven, the movers removed my 13 y/o daughters Urn (whom had passed away the year before) from a dresser and placed it on the floor. When the manager called me, he was extremely rude and lacked any sort of common courtesy or empathy.
We are deeply sorry for the pain caused by the handling of your daughter's urn and for the disrespectful way your concerns were addressed. What you describe is unacceptable and not representative of the standards we expect from our staff.

Half Price Movers are a great value. The crew that came to move my stuff were a real pleasure to watch because they communicated constantly and didn't ding or scrape anything on the way out. I would have given 5 stars, but there were a couple of minor things I wasn't thrilled with: table top wasn't well padded, caster came off a bed frame, a piece of the bed frame is missing. All those are things that can be managed.
