I was excited to be supporting a veteran run business, which is why we chose them. This was the absolute worst experience i have ever had with a moving company. They arrived on time (only positive). We were told it would be $175 for the first three hours and then $175 every hour after. They showed up at 9 and we had all boxes packed and the garage filled with the packed boxes. There was maybe 10 packed boxes on the inside of the house. There was also furniture on the inside as well.

I have taken a few days to process and assess the situation in regards to this moving company. I have attached screen shots of trying to book this company through email when in NONE of the email chain between myself and this company did it say that business is strictly conducted and reservations are done through texts. I chose this company due to the high recommendations and that they are a military veteran's company. My husband is also a vet and we always try to support them.
We want to clarify that no moving services were ever performed in this case. No payment was collected, no deposit was received, and ultimately this reviewer never became a customer. While there was a scheduling miscommunication, our team did not complete a move and therefore this review does not…
1st move with them incredible (back in 2024). The calling agent and guys moving me called and asked about what I needed to move, location, gate codes and recommendations on how to pack. They moved my moving bags, boxes and shelves (this is relevant) with grace in and out of each room. 2nd move with them absolutely horrendous and should have been a sitcom episode (2026). Logistically no one prescreened what I owned, or asked for the moving destination.
When I started this business, a wise man told me something I've never forgotten: things are going to go wrong. What you do to fix it — that's the character of your business. So I'll thank Karl for this review, because most people never get to see how a moving company behaves when a job goes wrong.
We were scheduled to have help load our Penske truck with this company originally at 12 pm today. The day before, we got a call asking if they could come between 12 and 2pm instead of just 12pm like originally agreed upon. It was past 2 pm with no movers on site. They called and told me they would be there at 3pm with no reasoning.

I recently used Norfolk Veterans moving company for a furniture move and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with their service. From the very beginning, the team was professional and courteous. They arrived on time and immediately got to work assessing the furniture to be moved. The furniture movers were knowledgeable and experienced, carefully wrapping each piece with protective blankets and securing them in the truck for transport.

I've hired movers several times over the years and this was easily the best experience I've had. We moved from a condo near Main Street and Boush Street, and the crew showed up ready to work. They were organized, careful, and respectful of the building rules. What stood out most was how smoothly they handled everything. There was no standing around, no wasted time, and no surprises on the final bill.

The two movers were very nice and friendly. Both worked hard. The issue is the movers were set up for failure; wrong truck size and the back of the truck was a mess (which they decided to clean on my time). I paid for 2 movers and a 26' truck and they showed up with a 16' truck. When paying per hour the difference in truck size will result in multiple trips or leaving items behind and moving it yourself.
