Helping Hands Express | Movers & Storage - Jacksonville, FL.

I did not have the best experience with this company. I was quoted a 148.50 an hour and given an estimated time of 2 hours. The company sent over two men who were very friendly but it became obvious that they planned on milking the clock. When I complained the owner showed up yelling, bullying and threatening to take a lunch with all of my items on the truck. When I didn’t back down from the owner Israel, he flipped the script and started talking about God and family.

This company is a scam! My original quote was for 6 hours of moving. I spoke to multiple people and explained I had a 2 bed 2 bath apartment (upstairs) and moving from FL to GA (3.5 hours away). I was informed of a flat rate for the move and that the 6 hours was for any packing they would do and to get it loaded in the truck. The quote was for $2480. Flate rate was $450 and the hourly was $170. I was sent an email back in May that quoted differently and called multiple times to verify the correct amount.

One-half of my belongings were not delivered to my home from the storage by Helping Hands Express movers. Only one of many boxes of my clothes was delivered. One plastic bin was delivered. Only one box with three appliances were delivered. Simple things like my iron, electric can opener, toaster; think of things in the kitchen like silverware, pots, pressure cooker, cast iron skillets did not get delivered.

I would not recommend anyone use this company. It took them about 10 hours to move a 3 bedroom home. I was charged over $1700 when i had expected many fewer hours. I actually picked up things myself and carried to the truck while 2 of the men stood around. The manager phoned me and wanted to come see the way things were unloaded into my storage shed…which was simply throw things in and stack with no order. I have many antiques and other nice items that were not covered with the moving blankets that i own.

I hired Helping Hands to help my Son finish packing our apartment and load the Uhaul I rented. Yesterday they were hired. I was given a 11:00 to 1:00 show up window. They were not only late but still tied up on another job. After I called one last time I was told that they were half done unloading their truck from another move. By this time me , my son and daughter in law had the stuff packed and 1/3 loaded. I said cancel the order. Money saved. My suggestion is have enough crews to meet the daily demands.

The worst movers on the planet.,complaining as they worked opened up my boxes and I don’t understand as I see my things didn’t want to move my things to my second level, I told the lady in the office when I made the appointment that I needed a 26 in truck, 3 workers, moving from 2nd floor to a townhouse approximately 6 hours the older man was so hostile and very disrespectful to me,I gave these men a very good tip each because that the kind of person I am, if I tipped them for the quality of the job they did they…

Covering foreman very rude, argumentive, unable to explain the process and pricing. In stating add on services and the link with my estimate, he did not say the add one were already included in the estimate. It was not until I phoned into the office that this was clarified and even the owner was argumentative although he had better customer skills than the Movers. Another crew is being sent ASAP but I booked early due to scheduled appointment that I will now miss.

My 2 movers spent the time on thier phone, eating, getting gas on my time going to eat without them telling even telling me then eating while working for another hour. They were Lazy, took advantage because I’m a woman.they add so many fees at the end cost me twice what it would have someplace else! Over all the only nice one was on the phone never use these people scam artists
