Helping Hands Moving and Maids Salt Lake City

I am editing my review due to new management/ownership. Read review at the very bottom for previous 5 Star experience. If I could give my most recent experience ZERO stars, I would. I was quoted $260 for 2 hours or less back in December when I worked with the previous manager Justin and was given 3 men on the job which completed my move with ease and helped me out financially. Justin was so great to work with. He was reasonable, understanding, accommodating and professional.

By far worst company ever. Was only supposed to send 2 people. Sent 4. Then I had to pay for 4. They damaged my brand new table. (Did replace table top). Dryer door has a huge scratch (they tell us to use a magic eraser, tried, still scratched) still haven't fixed it. We found a box of beef, over $500 worth that they put a stereo speaker on. Lost all the meat. We never got an invoice. This is a horrible company. If I could give them less than one star I would

I had a few issues with the moving company, I ended with guys that were 2 hours late, then 1 of the guys said he was sick and couldn't work so I had 1 guys moving my stuff, I did call into the office and they worked out a deal. I think I still paid to much, the last 90 mins my husband helped them unload when he got home from work.

We needed a small crew to help load a truck we had rented for a cross country move. The crew of two was scheduled to arrive between 2-3, they arrived at 4 because they stopped for a break. That was fine with us Our only need was to help load and wrap furniture and boxes. All items were packed into boxes and disassembled Our main complaints were professionalism, speed, taking care of our items, and then cost.

I'm giving one star to Helping Hands only because I can't give zero. I have never experienced lack of professionalism to the degree that I just did, and it was from the CEO of the company. I called for a free moving quote as listed on the website. I was redirected to Cody's number, when he answered I told him I wanted to schedule a quote for my out of state move. He was driving, so he called me back. He then asked me to text him my address and setup a time to come make the estimate.

I had an extremely disappointing experience with this moving company and would not recommend them. During our move, multiple items were damaged and broken, including irreplaceable pieces of furniture that were over 20 years old and glassware that had been given to us as wedding gifts. These were not minor scuffs—items were clearly mishandled and left broken. Even worse, the movers left major pieces of furniture behind, including our TV and entertainment center. This was only discovered after they had already left.

Horrible experience. It took the movers almost 7 hours to move the contents of a one bedroom apartment. I was the third job for the day. By the time the movers got to me they were so exhausted they could barely move. At the end of the day not only was I ripped off, but I had to endure the cussing of the workers because of how exhausted they were.

Although I was booked promptly (which is a good thing) when the movers showed up, there was an additional person. I wasn't told this would be an increased price (an additional $29.50 per hour) until it came time to pay for the services. It would have been nice to have had that information when I booked because I wouldn't have booked Helping Hands in that case. I also paid each mover a tip ($10 each) even though I was charged more that I was quoted.
