In their own words
I want to make it clear that this review is NOT about the movers. We had a great group of guys - they took care of our items and were a life saver in a highly stressful move. However, steer clear of this business and their "office" team for the following reasons: 1) Their sales approach and the quote they gave me ended up being almost 4x the amount - $540 to $1917. Please see the text exchange below. I was asked to provide a rough inventory of the items we had to move.
I had a small move from one apartment to another in the same complex. I was quoted a very reasonable number, booked and ready. The crew showed up a few minutes early and began moving all the items from the apartment. I watched 1 gentleman unscrew 2 screws from my bed, shake his head and tell me the bed is broken (which it was, but not where he was removing screws) They proceeded to rip several bags, break 8 glasses, and chip a glass table.
Worst experience I could have asked for. 1. I personally watched them drop a dresser, a table, and another item of furniture. They actually removed the moving blanket from a fancy stone top dresser drawer and placed it directly onto the dolley. They badly smashed the ends of boards connected to the matching bed. 2. They never delivered the top to my executive desk or a box of expensive ammunition (other businesses might call this theft).
In the beginning, the guys were nice and they even helped me move on Christmas Eve, which I was really grateful for. However, the quality of the move was poor, there was a lot of miscommunication and there has been no effort from them to make this experience right. I will start off by saying that this was my first time using a moving company, so I had a lot of questions and a lot to learn. The team showed up and as mentioned, were very nice.
This is the worse company I’ve ever hired!!! Do not hire them because they just care about your money not the items they’re helping you move. They did not cover the furniture good like other moving companies do to avoid them to brake or scrape. They broke a dresser, a new TV, and other items. They scraped another new dresser and a night stand and ripped a mattress!!! They are seriously the worse company you could hire!!!! They wanted to give me $27.00 for all the things they broke and damage.
This was absolutely the WORST experience that I have ever had moving! The guys were extremely careless with my furniture. They dented, scratched, and even BROKE wooden furniture. I had to temporarily move to a storage unit. While I wasn’t there, they walked on my wooden furniture without any protection over it. The same with my couches! I thought that they were going to use the blankets that I provided to cover my furniture – NOPE! They took their blanket off and then slide boxes across my wood furniture!
London’s crew was respectful and did what I asked them to do. But that is where my good review stops. I would never hire Wasatch moving company again, and here are a few reasons: 1) even though they sent someone to take pictures of all my belongings, they grossly underestimated the amount of truck space needed to complete the job. It wasn’t even close. As a result, they left many things at my old residence (obvious things like boxes in the kitchen) and did not even let me know that the items were there.
Sadly I cannot leave a good review. The good: They were prompt and on time. Good communication. Eric was friendly and professional. The move supervisor was professional and friendly The bad. Oh boy. I am guessing they were a new crew. They scratched and ruined a freshly painted banister, railing and wall in the old house moving (This was was done for the new owners as part of the sale.) a large desk that should have been taken apart as there was not enough room to move the entire thing up the stairs.
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your moving experience didn’t meet the standard of quality we aim to provide, and we understand the frustration this has caused you.

In their own words
This is the 2nd (and hopefully last ) time I’ve moved and used Wasatch Moving Company. They were able to squeeze me in within a couple days notice! Very communicative, Arrived on time. My guys were super friendly, attentive, careful, considerate, worked quickly and clean, and they were funny! Everything made it to its destination in the condition that it left. And they put everything exactly where I wanted it to go! Highly recommend!

I called Wasatch Moving Company to move a large commercial refrigerator after have a terrible experience with another moving company that came ill prepared with equipment and people for the job. I kindly dismissed that group. I had to be intentional about having the right team move a $12000 refrigerator. Wasatch set expectations right up front with my initial call. On the appointed day, Austin, the lead on my project, called me to let me know when to expect him and his crew.
David, thank you for the detailed review and for choosing Wasatch Moving Company. We're thrilled Austin and his crew communicated clearly, navigated the steps and narrow doorways with your 84-inch, 500+ lb refrigerator, and stayed to level it until you were satisfied.
I recently used Wasatch to move my 1BR apartment. I chose them because their sales team were respectful unlike All My Sons and others who just hounded me via text/phone\email. I was given a 3hr window but they arrived in the first 30 minutes of their time. I had a budget for 2hrs and had done some moving ahead of time to help stick to it, but my friends were sure the movers would need more time. Not only did these two awesome guys show up on time but they moved everything out quickly, cleanly, and safely.
Moving day was Wednesday 5/13 from 9:30. The move was from the SLC downtown area to Tooele. Right on time the moving van arrived - a huge van that would have taken 3 car parking spaces (with the ramp pulled out of the back). The driver simply backed up at an angle actually making the loading task easier as the ramp was now resting on the grass closer to the sidewalk. The two men applied plenty of protective blankets to the apartment doorway and covered the furniture pieces with blankets and lots of tape.
William, thank you for the fantastic 5-star review and for sharing such a detailed account of your move. We’re glad our team arrived on time, took extra care with padding and protection, and managed the heavy treadmill smoothly so you could be walking a mile in your new home the same day.
