In their own words
I hired this mover because it is for a good cause – recovering substance abusers. Movers were courteous. One gave me a speech about how the recovery program changed his life. However, five items were damaged by the end of the move. Two damages were avoidable because I pointed out both items prior to the move. One fell apart in the move. Two movers tried to put it back together but did so incorrectly. I need to hire someone to fix it and hire an electrician to repair another item.
I'm sorry to hear you didn't have the experience we strive to provide to all our customers. We would love to have a chance to make this right with you. Please give us a call so we can get a chance to fix this and also to help change your mind about our company.
The other side moving & storage were fantastic! I can’t say enough good things about these men. They came to my apartment on the third floor early and they were supposed to be there at nine and they showed up at 8:40. They were all smiles and ready to go! Very polite, courteous and thoughtful of all my belongings.

It is hard for me to leave a negative review for anyone because mistakes happen, but it was never rectified. I wanted to use Otherside due to what it does to help others and the mission-However, my things weren't taken care of correctly. I had to put things in a storage and when we uncovered how things were packed I was in shock and hurt by how my things were treated. My mattress was leaned and now still has a bend in it from the way it was placed in a storage unit.
First, I wanted to thank you for your feedback. We pride ourselves on our customer service and it seems we have let you down in this situation. This move was about 2 years ago and there was some miss comunication. We were expecting a call back from you and we should have followed up on our end.
I was told they could do my whole move 1100 sq foot house if everything was boxed up packed and ready to go in 2 ish hours . With 4 people . My estimate was around $650 and the time frame ended up being almost 6 hours and triple the cost. I was blind sided by the cost . The amount of time it took and nothing was placed where it was labeled to go. I was very disappointed. Me and my family also had to help unload the truck just to get it unloaded after almost 6 hours .

I wish I didn't have to leave this review because I love what this company does to help people but I'm not happy with the service I received. They loaded a trailer for me to move cross country. The gentleman who came in time, acted professional and were quick to complete the job. When our trailer was dropped off at our home we noticed that 80% of the heavy duty bins I had were completely caved in.

We’ve used The Otherside Movers with several of our moves- we would rave about this company and have referred many others to them. I really liked their mission and what they were doing until today . I had called on Friday to schedule a move for Tuesday to move stuff to a storage since we are selling our home. I made sure if anything changed I was able to cancel the appt with no issues. I called today to do that and the manager said I can’t just cancel the day before.

We used The Other Side Movers twice. The first time I was impressed enough to use them again. The second time was a completely different experience. Out of the four guys, 2 of them were in the bathroom at least half of the time which increased the time it took, which costed us more money. Plus the quote they gave us ended up being double! Without our consent they put a bed back together and it was done incorrectly.
Hi Aimee, We as a organization take these review very serious and to heart. What I gather from this is you may have felt the move took a little longer from using the restroom and we didn't communicated over the phone properly.
Very disappointing experience with The Other Side. They are very nice people until something goes wrong and then it's Nothing... I used them to move and for storage while my home was being built. I had black all over my office furniture when I got it back. It was left in plastic wrap and not allowed to breath. It should have been wrapped in cloth while in storage. They accepted No responsibility and offered No financial assistance.

I recently had the opportunity to hire The Other Side Moving & Storage to move my belongings from my storage unit to my condo. I had never worked with them before, so I was hoping for the best. To start, they arrived exactly on time, which was a great sign and a wonderful way to begin moving day! A crew of four men—Alec, Colten, Phill, and Kendrick—arrived in their 26-foot truck. Alec immediately introduced himself, explained what to expect throughout the move, and then everyone got right to work.
Thank you Other Side Movers for sending five absolute studs! Joey, Anthony, Wes, Bennie, and Riley worked tirelessly to get my stuff from my old house to the new one. All five guys were polite and focused. I didn’t hear a single curse word from any of them during 6+ hours of moving heavy stuff. They don’t get distracted and they don’t slow down. We had several challenging items to move, and they got it done on schedule and under budget.

In preparing for our move we talked with a lot of moving companies. We decided on TOSM because they were the least expensive. But mostly because we love what their program teaches & does.
