Dishonest, overcharges after cheap quotes and will withhold delivery while threatening extra charges. Expect damages to your own moving property as well as to your home at pickup and delivery. Will never admit to any responsibility or wrongdoing despite evidence. Low one star reviews are genuinely the same experience to expect. Expect extra charges, forced decisions at customers expense, and claims department is as useless, righteous and malicious as ever. Classic moving tactics.
We used Hercules Moving for our move in March 2026. The move itself was completed, but after settling into our new home we discovered damage to two door frames, damage to our staircase, damage to a dresser that no longer functions properly, and additional cosmetic damage to trim and furniture. The most concerning issue involved our son's crib. The crib was disassembled during the move, and the hardware was left loose on a windowsill rather than being secured in a bag or container.
I hired this company for a commercial move and it was an extremely disappointing and dangerous experience. I am writing this review to warn other business owners. Here is what happened: UNPREPARED & UNPROFESSIONAL The supervisor and crew were clearly not trained for commercial moving. They arrived without enough tools and — without asking my permission — used my personal tools. When I raised this concern, they ignored me completely. NOT EQUIPPED FOR THE JOB They did not bring any moving boxes.
Had a really disappointing experience with this moving company. As someone who has gotten movers every time I have moved, these were by far the worst movers I have dealt with. To begin, their attitude upon arrival was extremely rude and as if they were doing me a favour by being there. Throughout the move, the main mover whom I communicated with was very rude not only to myself but also was noted by my neighbours after moving. The move was local, within 5 km & I paid over close to $1600.
SCAM* They quoted me $1100 and I thought that was over priced. When they picked up they told my mother they could move a few additional items at a low cost, now its time to drop off and they increased the invoice to $2500! and they said if its not paid by 10:45 AM they will put the stuff into storage and charge an undisclosed amount. DO NOT USE THEM, they divided a TV stand without my authorization into 6 items and charged $85.00 per item as per they "Contract" its a complete misuse of their contract.
Used this company to move across Canada. The delivery persons were on time for both pickup and delivery however the move resulted in several damaged items and ended missing an entire bed frame. Customer service was tremendous in dodging all potential refund requests. FYI Be sure to keep your receipts!

I had an excellent experience with this moving company and would highly recommend them. They were very prompt in providing a quote, and the pricing process was straightforward and transparent from the start. I originally chose them based on a friend's recommendation, and they absolutely lived up to it. The pickup process was incredibly efficient. The team was friendly, professional, and completed everything in about 30 minutes. Throughout the move, they were always available whenever I had questions.

What an amazing experience! I moved across the country from Calgary Alberta to St. John's Newfoundland and I have nothing but good things to say. The guys who picked up my furniture and dropped everything off were really nice, careful with my belongings, fast and hard working. Their office staff kept us updated along the entire process. Their virtual cost estimating was very simple and easy.

Super impressed by the way Hercules moved our belongings from Toronto to New Jersey. Right from packing, loading, moving, delivering and setting up furniture, it has been professionalism stamped every where. Special mention to Igor & Valdas who has taken so much care and effort to make sure our move has been seamless. Not to forget about the guys who came for the packing and loading from the source (don't remember their names). Highly recommend HMC to anyone looking to move overseas, cross border or national.
Second time using Hercules to move 75% of house contents for a renovation - into storage units and back home. Terrific experience both times and one of the movers who helped the first time remembered us. They wrapped furniture in heavy plastic and / or blankets so there was no damage at all. They also packed about 15 boxes for us - a great help. An extra touch - one table had a wobbly leg so one of the guys fixed it for me - unasked ! Very much appreciate the expertise and care and happy to recommend them.
