Hitzfelder Moving

We used Hitzfelder to move us to Corpus. The team that showed up was pretty good. However the evening after they loaded everything I was missing my laptop bag. I brought it to their attention first thing the following morning when they arrived to unload our furniture and they didn't remember seeing it. When we contacted Gene Hitzfelder he stated that never happens and we had a trusted crew.

Absolutely Unprofessional. Our new neighbors used this company and they parked right in front of our cars without permission, even though they had room to scoot back in front of our neighbors house and not block ours completely. I was gone when they initially parked there and I asked them to move back in order for me to get my car in which they immediately did.

Well, this business had my first review removed, but I will continue to post it because it's a fact and my neighbors need to know the truth. Their employee stole from me. They stole a small pencil box that had $195 cash in it and they also stole 2 Roku electronic devices. There is likely more that was stolen, this is simply what I noticed was missing. That same employee spent more time on his phone with his girlfriend talking about their financial problems than he actually spent packing.

Terrible. Lazy. Incompetent. Clearly milking the hourly rate and being slow. They were moving one couch cushion to the truck at a time with one hand free. Then standing in the truck talking. Soooo slow. One guy dropped out and they discounted me 20 bucks an hour? I still have to move all the heavy stuff. My fridge, compressor, cabinets etc. I might take legal action over the bait and switch on manpower and damage to my walls and furniture. They were moving antiques around without blankets.

Hi! I don’t know exactly what a rating i can give this company. They worked seems professionally. The crew moved our furniture from the storage in New Braunfels to our home in New Braunfels. The Local moving was on Friday, 8th of January.Unfortunately today and yesterday we didn’t find our computer monitor and a printer. They were in the original boxes. So disappointed, disgusted.😳We paid a good price and tips. And ... i didn’t see exactly they stole them. But my rating is a very poor. I can’t get my things .

I hired Hitzfelder to move us into a storage unit while we were out of the country for 6 months, then move us from storage into our new house. When our belongings arrived my office desk was broken and my leather sectional sofa was scratched in 4 places. As we unpacked, we discovered many missing items, including a queen sized mattress, all of our sheets/blankets, and our TV stand. When we brought it to Gene's attention, he agreed to put in an insurance claim to reimburse us. BEWARE OF SIGNING THE RECEIPT!

I moved within New Braunfels 10/19. I really wanted to be able to give a good rating for this company as they were on time and courteous. Unfortunately my refrigerator was badly dented during the move. I filed the damage that day and was ASSURED it would be taken care of. It is now 4 MONTHS later and has not been resolved. I have spoken to the company multiple times and there has been an excuse each time!! I feel that I am being given the run around... Would I recommend? Sadly NO.

Hire this company if you like having your stuff stolen. We are missing over $3000 worth of items! Hitzfelder will not replace the items or give us the replacement cost. They are the only people to touch our stuff, other than us, and we trusted them to move our items into our storage without supervision. Huge mistake on our part! We thought we were hiring trustworthy professionals, but we were wrong. Movers beware!!
