I've never written a review but feel like I have to because this was the worst moving experience I've ever had. DO NOT use these movers if you like anything you own. On the front end, the movers were SUPER late did not communicate. They were rushing to finish the job (because they were so late) and kept saying they were done but I would see things they forgot. When asking for payment, I saw a west elm floating shelf had been left. He then took it off but all he was focused on was getting his tip.
Beware of this company. They are crooks. I was quoted a price of $400. The movers did not arrived on time and then took more than was told to take. Imperial also tried to charge me double than what I was quoted. After a long back and forth, it was stated that my total would $547. When I looked at my invoice yesterday, the deposit was not deducted. I was then told that the $50 would be returned to my card.
Hired for a move from NYC to NJ. Once everything was loaded, this company took 3.5 hours to travel what should have taken 1.5 hrs, 2 with a buffer. When we initially called the company out of concern wondering where they were, we were hung up on. When I called again and asked for them to check in to see where they were--they refused to have dispatch call the driver.

I hired them over the weekend. The main head mover was salty and wasn’t interested in working. I showed him everything on the list, and he started loading the gear. After a wrap at the old house, he arrived at the new home and told us he couldn’t bring the boxes to the second floor, which was already disclosed with Imperial Moving—that the bedroom boxes were going to the bedroom on the second floor.

The movers were great but the overall company is a scam. They quoted me a flat rate of 550 and told me how there were no extra charges and when it came time to pay I was charged double saying they never said that and how they sent me an email, but never did. I would never use them again.

The actual movers were quick, but the process was terrible. They gave me the wrong bill (apparently), and then charged my card $350 more, without notifying me, and without any sort of confirmation, which is ILLEGAL by the way. Will be talking to my credit card company about this

Dima and his team did an absolutely exceptional job. They not only packed and secured everything safely and quickly, but managed to safely maneuver large furniture around impossibly tight New York stairwells without any struggle or damage at all. They worked hard and nonstop to move our entire home in just a few hours in time for us to wake up in one home and comfortably go to bed in the next.
Dimitry was amazing! They were quick, very effective, safe, hardworking. I’ve used them 3/4 times over the past 6 years and they’ve always done a great job. They even helped me put together furniture in my new apartment. They rock. Don’t look any further, these are your people.
