Integrity Moving and Storage

In the beginning of the move things seemed fine. I have severe back issues so I stayed in the living room of the old house watching and answering any questions the movers might have, as my wife was spread a bit thin running around. After the movers left the new house (delivery address), we started going through locating boxes, totes and bulk items, as many items were not placed in the rooms we had marked them for. The first notable problem was a missing, 8 month old artificial Christmas three.

My family has used this company for years. They ripped my laundry room floor during a previous room. I have a signed statement that they damaged my floor. Since there was a tear underneath my washing machine, I agreed it would be fine for them to fix it whenever we moved out. We just moved last month. When I spoke to them about fixing it they told me they didn’t have anyone to repair it.

Integrity Movers came out and quoted packing and moving services. They showed up late on the packing day and the moving day, so that was negative. Also, their quotes were a few hundred dollars less than the actual cost of the packing and moving, so we ended up paying more than expected. Most of our furniture was moved safely and without damage. But an expensive platter was shattered in a box that they packed and moved. They scratched the freshly-painted walls and the ceiling of the stairway of our new house.

I hired Integrity Moving & Storage to pick up and store a piano until my long-distance movers could retrieve it. When those movers arrived, I was told there wasn’t enough advance notice to release the piano — something that was never mentioned when I booked. When I called to clarify, the woman on the phone immediately started scolding me instead of trying to help. When I said I didn’t appreciate her tone, she became even more dismissive.

We hired Integrity Moving for what was always going to be a complicated move. At the time of booking, we had sold our home but hadn’t yet purchased a new one. It was suggested moving our belongings into pods so we’d have flexibility if we needed to rent temporarily. That made sense to us, so we proceeded with that plan.

First, to ask me to do a Google review was a real mistake. I called the office to ask a question and this is the response I recieved "read your contract". Please If you hate your job then quit. Second, I was told the team would assist with reassembling my beds even though the were stored in a storage unit unassembled. The crew looked at me and said "no way it is a liability issue so no". That was far from what the sales person told me. I spent 5 hours putting beds together.

I do not typically use my free time to write negative reviews that can potentially damage someone’s livelihood, but I will write this one in the hopes that the owner of this business sees it and takes the time to reach out. My sister and I used integrity movers 2 weeks ago. She had used them for her previous move and had a wonderful experience. Prior to our Saturday move, Lindsay reached out to say they were short staffed, but weren’t canceling and needed to change our moving window by several hours.

Unfortunately after seeing many reviews praising this company, we did not have a great experience. Upon pick up, at least one of the crew members were very careless with our items, damaging several of our nice Amish furniture pieces. Many items damaged were drawers which should have been very easy to handle carefully, more so than the very heavy amish bed or dresser, however most of our pieces had nicks and dents in them. We also noticed one doorway that was banged up after they left, needing repainted.
