International Van Lines is by far the worst company I have ever come in contact with. I spent hours researching moving companies and had several calls with different companies. The sales person who I initially dealt with couldn't have been more helpful and attentive. Little did I know that all of the "yes's", "no problem", and "we are flexible" were all just lip service to get the sale. Not one thing that was promised and explained to me came to fruition.
I rarely write reviews—only when an experience is exceptionally great or unacceptably bad. This is the latter. International Van Lines promised our move from Texas to New Hampshire would take 4–10 business days. It ended up taking 20 days. Throughout that time, communication was nonexistent. No returned calls, no updates—just silence while all of our belongings were in transit. What’s worse? Two of our boxes never arrived, including the one with items worth over $5,000.
I was provided a quote with international van lines for a cross state move and scheduled a date with the next day being the back up date. The guy that provided that quote was responsive and available. Then as the move date approached, I didn't hear anything about when the movers were coming. Eventually, they confirmed the night before that they would be coming on 6/13 between 2-5pm. I received this confirmation through phone call, voicemail, and email. They never showed up.
NEVER NEVER HIRE IVL as a moving company. At every phase, representatives lied to me. And, worst of all, they served as a broker rather than a mover and assigned my job to a much lower rated moving company, American Knights Moving and Storage. Goods were stored by American Knights in Texas for over two months,. This is after I was promised that my goods would be moved to my new location (Delaware) by IVL and stored at an IVL facility in Delaware, providing prompt delivery once I’d moved.

Sent them list of items produced by another mover, they sent my quote, I scheduled it. The movers get here, they say the list is not accurate for cubic feet, they need another truck, they want 4000 more dollars. I say no thanks. Company …

It's been over a week and no one has called us back. Our parking permits expired and we need delivery to a different address or a pick up but all calls and emails has gone unanswered. No sure how or when we will get our belongings.
