We hired this moving service to move in June 2023 and had such a poor experience that has prompted us to reach out to the federal trade commission. Apart from massively overcharging us and damaging many items, the movers themselves did not completely pack up our house (a service that we paid through the nose for) and then proceeded to pile all of our belongings in the basement of the new house.
They put duck tape around the leg of a chair after they cracked the leg in transport. Unreal. Unprofessional movers by the way. Then they asked for more money. Overall I would not use them.
At least one of their drivers can't read the "Passenger Cars Only" on Ocean Parkway. Update: Instead of simply saying we won't violate traffic laws again the owner response had to resort to lies. There was no incident and no police diversions onto Ocean Parkway. Avenue U and E 4th Street is two blocks away from Ocean Parkway. There are also no exits from Ocean Parkway; only intersecting streets.

Padded Wagon moved us in NYC recently. They cracked our TV that was $1,000+ in the process, and never prompted insurance for it. They refuse to remediate for this in any capacity and are denying any involvement when the TV was perfectly fine when they left. They also claimed that insurance was offered for this when we were never once prompted or provided the option to use insurance.

Updating reply: Hi Wade, I checked the records and it was my mistake that I couldn't find your information. My role at the business does not require me to talk to the customers directly, so I was simply looking through a database and did not enter the proper search parameters.

We LOVE The Padded Wagon. Mike and the team are wonderful. Our company most recently engaged their services for a significant undertaking as our office space/suite in SoHo underwent a major renovation that spanned from August-December 2025. Not only were we required to clear out the space in its near entirety in advance of the renovations in August, but we also needed to transport the vast majority of our furniture and equipment to another (temporary) office space in the area.

After having several mediocre to poor moving experiences, what a delight Padded Wagon was! Their response to me, by email or phone, was always within minutes. Padded Wagon's bid was quite fair, their staff were very punctual and polite, and their work quality was outstanding. Their packers/unpackers worked quickly but carefully, and we had no breakage at all. And Padded Wagon's picture hangers were the best we have ever used, hanging many valuable works with care and precision. We could not be more pleased.
Padded Wagon has been amazing. We had a wonderful experience with Mike and the team. Mike was very responsive and accommodating in the initial estimate phase, dealing with lots of questions and changes. The move was very complex, with multiple destinations for specific items. There were a lot of parties involved and a lot of last min changes, additions and Mike and his team were always willing to do whatever it took to get the job done. Would highly recommend!

I just used Padded Wagon for an out-of-state. I wish there were more stars to click. Manny and his crew handled some adverse conditions with professionalism and efficiency. There was snow and inefficiency from my new quarters. Many told me not to get excited and his men ran everything smoothy and on time.
