In their own words
In February, we rented an outside storage space from the “Storage Place” on 3rd Ave. I believe they also have an office on King Ave. We needed somewhere to park our brand new (2019) Aero cargo trailor that has never been pulled further than 20 miles. We were assured we were making a good choice as there was cameras, gates, and 24/hr locks. Last night, 4/12/2019, we went to pick up the trailer. Upon arrival we noticed right away the trailer had been moved over, and there was a new camper very close to the trailer.
Montana, we are sorry that you had a bad experience. I called you to hear your complaint and attempt to come to a resolution, but you hung up on me. Our employee's have never moved, without permission, or damaged a tenant's property.
I work for a non-profit that helps the homeless. We've had storage here for a long time and have a very clean payment history. The manager (Andy) chose to lock us out because our check was 3 days late and we incurred a $14 late fee. Think about that.... We have been a long-term good tenant, have always paid on time, and because our check didn't get to him on time, he locked us out over HIS late fee of $14.
Hi J Taylor, The organization you work for has had a unit with us for a long time. In fact they've had 2 units with us for over 9 years. During that time period we donated both units at no cost to you for 7+ years.
Horrible place. I recommend zero star but that's not an option. Very rude. Called them when they took money without authorization and turn around and yell and be rude to customers.
Robyn, I am sorry you felt like you had a bad experience. However, we have a signed autopay form from you, which we have emailed you a copy of. We also refunded the money on the same day it was taken.
Imagine getting run over back in 2020 and being in the hospital, a wheelchair and on crutches for 47 months and finally being able to move and get your things from your other storage unit out of state. You start unpacking and taking inventory of the things that you have and the manager pops up and accuses you of living in the storage unit. I wouldn't suggest you move here from out of state being disabled because you're going to be accused of things that you're not.
Larry, as we stated previously, we are sorry if there was a misunderstanding. The way your unit was set up, which we have documented, was a red flag of someone residing in their storage unit. Having all these items, out and set up as you did are very atypical of a storage user.
This place THE STORAGE PLACE is no good. My stuff was sold at one of his stupid auctions. After only being a month and a half behind in rent. Lost a lot of pictures and personal memorabilia : ( without any assistance to try and get my personal pictures, diplomas etc. (Ridiculous!) prior to his stupid auction. I only owed about $150 and now I received a collection notice for over $600! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE money and his greed is all he and this place is about.
Kevin, we are very sorry to hear about your experience. The Storage Place is under new ownership since your unit was auctioned in June 2014. We can’t speak for the previous owner’s policy, but our policy is to work with every tenant who has fallen behind on their rent to come up with a payment plan…
Not a safe place for storage. Would not recommend the storage place to anyone. Had lots of tools stolen from my trailer and they broke my lock on the door of the trailer. They were no help in the office when we told them like it was a everyday thing.
Their units flood, and they're aware of it, but don't tell you. All they had to say was "well you signed a waiver". Manager was a nice enough guy, but the front desk woman would rather watch Netflix than help a customer.
HORRIBLE!! Called to get pricing and availability! Would not talk to me with out giving my name, phone, email! I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PROVIDE YOU ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO GET PRICING AND AVAILABILITY!!
I'm sorry we were unable to answer when you called and you got through to our call center. We understand how frustrating their policy can be and so we try to answer every call and our pricing and availability are listed on our website.

The 24/7 onsite-livein Supervisor Andy is great, a real straight-shooter & capable individual of whom I felt immediately comfortable about leaving my valued possessions with to watch over. He was incredibly respectful & friendly, full of helpful tips you might not consider, & he really made me feel like I made the right choice to store there despite its somewhat off trail local. The facility is what it’s meant to be, no more no less, BUT! they have ONSITE RESTROOMS!
I found this storage place shortly after I moved here and needed somewhere safe to keep extra stuff and at the time I wasn’t thinking about distance from where I actually live to rent but the staff here settled all my worries and was very helpful and explained the rules and regulations of the property clearly when I moved in and even when I was late on my rent a couple times they were super nice and worked with me to get the rent paid and made it a super easy process to move in and move out the prices are the best…
