Overcharged for time away from the site, arrived unprepared with vastly inadequate packing materials, took time to get more, failed to provide a contract or inventory, lost or stole or discarded numerous items including previously packed cash and jewelry, failed to provide the promised professional piano mover and damaged the piano, broke several pieces of artwork, owner failed to respond to concerns. My wife originally scheduled movers with JC Moving for Saturday, June 20th, but no one showed up. After multiple phone calls and voicemails throughout the day and my wife’s bad review we finally received a called around 5:00 PM to apologize. While we appreciate the apology, by that point had already been forced to hire another moving company and put down a deposit to avoid delaying our move.
There was no deposit to us. We were asked to do the move for free AND reimburse a deposit paid to someone else. That’s incredible. Going out of your way to put 2 one star reviews on a small businesses profile is next level petty. In hindsight, we are very happy to have avoided these people
This was without question the worst moving experience I've ever had. The team who showed up were unprepared, lacking in experience and professionalism and demonstrated an extreme lack of urgency in the process. Do not recommend...After being referred by a friend, I am so sorry to have to leave this first for me, less than desirable review. It has been several months since our move and this company has yet to make things right. From over billing and unauthorized charges to our credit card, to extensive damage and negligence, to hanging up the phone and talking rudely to us, the management is unwilling to sit with us, as requested and resolve many, many issues.
Client refused to pay for the services provided and grossly misrepresented the amount of work to be done...
We hired JC Moving to load our U-Pack Trailer. They sent 2 men to load the trailer. The loaded and locked up the trailer for us. When the trailer arrived everything had fallen over and done several thousand dollars in damage. The owner offered us $500 to settle and we said no. I would highly recommend you not using this company.

Yes we remember this customer! He reached out 2+ weeks after delivery and demanded compensation well above the actual damages. His emails were labeled “unclassified” (ex military) and left no room to discuss our actual policies.
I would not recommend this company. They showed up almost an hour late and down a man. I will say we had a large move and knew it would take a long time but it took 9 hours for them just to unload our house. I was fine with it at first …
Sounds like the work was much more than described by the customer if we didnt finish until 2am. Not our fault. This customer was rude from the beginning and this should have been a two day job but they DEMANDED TO DO THIS IN ONE DAY.

In their own words
The two men arrived on time and ready to go. They worked efficiently and made sure my items were protected from scratches and dings during the ride. They were polite, listened to directions and helped get my new place settled. I’m very impressed and would happily hire them again (but I hope I don’t need movers again!)
JC exceeded my expectations in every way! They made themselves available with only a week’s notice and were professional, friendly and competent from start to finish. If you are looking for great communication, flexibility, and safe transport and delivery for your next move, I recommend JC without hesitation!
Incredible experience with JC Moving. Same day service and a great rate for some really heavy items. Couldn't be happier!
These folks showed up on time, and got right to work. They were friendly, courteous, fast, and trustworthy. They moved the whole house in August, meaning they were working extra hard, and they remained cheerful and speedy. I hope we don't ever have to move again, but if we do, they'd be who we'd call.
