Lets just say his helper was super polite and a great worker. I would recommend him to anyone. The owner on the other hand was rude, and just because I'm a woman asked me to go outside and watch the stuff in the truck (cause he told me he gave me the easy job) He didn't seem to realize what the big deal was with tipping my filing cabinet on its backside and lying it down, when all my legal papers are now bent and squished and I still cannot get the doors to the drawers open, and it now needs to be replaced as we…
We used this company for a total of three moves. The first two moves went great, but the most recent one was not a good experience. If I could give a “zero” star review I would. We moved into a brand new rental. The workers scratched the new floor in several areas; damaged a very expensive dresser just by sheer carelessness when either putting it in or taking it out of the truck; put scuffs and chips in the walls; and broke two expensive bowls and a coffee mug.
Had a very bad experience with John Q!! From getting our dresser drawer broken into pieces to movers guys walking with dirty shoes all over on our carpets in our new home. He promised to get a replacement for the broken dresser drawer in a week and now it’s been more than two weeks and haven’t heard back from him.. Now the entire new dresser is waste. Ever after requesting multiple time to put blue floor liners to avoid stepping on our carpet with their shoes, he kept defending and arguing.
Response to the below review: Unfortunately, your IKEA particle board drawer fell apart during the move since it was not assembled correctly prior to the move. However, we accepted responsibility and replaced it as soon as stock became available in the IKEA store.
Another company who refuses to treat disabled people as if they are not an equal or valuable part of society. No we do not do Ministry moves. A moving company who is experienced, licensed and bonded there any specific ve to be placed in all of their be No need to overcharge. Hence you will get paid what you estimated the charge to be. Shouldn't be a problem, you create your own problems by shady business practices and padding the bill. Not the customer.
You called to inquire as to whether we provide quotes for the Ministry move and we politely answered that we do not. Our conversation took no more than 9 seconds. This hardly qualifies you to write this unfair review of our business.
This has to be one of the worst moving experiences in my life! I was charged a ridiculous amount, they were late an hour and a half for one, only to get yelled at early in the AM because he was late. and two, to get yelled at again to help MOVE my own stuff, after I paid all that money!! Anddd to come across my headboard for my expensive bed is broken on the bottom. If I could post a picture I would. HIGHLY not recommend 😒
We have never had a customer with this name. You have the wrong company. I personally conduct and am present on every single job. I would never allow for anything like this to happen. We are a reputable company with sterling reputation.

John Q Moving was amazing from start to finish. We are a family of six, and they moved our belongings seamlessly. John was punctual, organized, decisive, efficient, hardworking, super friendly, communicative, and there were no surprises. What struck me as well was the level of professionalism and even cleanliness; the moving truck was sparkling clean—which was something I wouldn't normally expect or look out for but couldn't help notice!

I hired JohnQMoving after interviewing them and 5 other movers in Surrey. They had the best rate for moving my furniture to another location in Surrey and when l mentioned l was going to get a company to take some old appliances away from the delivery location he said that they could do that too. And because he was there there would be no travel time and he gave me a quote for both. After speaking with the other movers l came back to JohnQMoving and hired them.

Call this man now!!! Do not search for any other moving company. If he is booked that day, book the next available! It will be 💯 worth it My wife and I recently moved this past Sunday and we could not have been more thankful for John and his team. Our new home had been delayed multiple times and each time John found away to reschedule us and even though when we finally moved which was a Sunday, the rate/cost was unaffected.
