In their own words
Me and my girlfriend used this company to move cross country from Seattle WA to NJ. We are more than disappointed to say the least, the packing crew that came to our house seemed good but it all went down hill from there. Our delivery that was supposed to be 7-10 days took longer than our 12 day cross country trip and didn't end up arriving until almost 2 weeks later.
- Unprofessional - Horrible customer service - Crooks (Beware of bait and switch) - Poor communication I wish I went with someone else, the amount of money I spent I could have gotten truly professional movers. I wish I could give negative stars. No in home estimate was given, they gave an estimate over the phone of all of our items we listed and that was almost half of what it ended up costing!!! They sure know how to bait you. We requested a full service move from a 1 BR apt moving from Portland to Indianapolis.
The worst experience. Sent inexperienced crew with 2 trucks for a big move. One driver drove truck into my garden. After signing 6 papers, they started loading. Loaded one of our sofa chairs. No padding or wrapping. When I questioned, supervisor said I need to pay extra to wrap with padding. I told them to unload and l cancelled the move. I realized, reviews on a whole company don't mean much. It depends on the crew. In the crew we got, the supervisor's English is hard to understand.
WARNING…. If you value your belongings do not use this company! They will sound good during their walkthroughs, sales pitches and quotes. But the actual work, lack of care and execution was shocking. Do not let this company pack your breakables or anything for that matter. Worst moving company ever. So much damage, so many lost items, incomplete inventory lists. 2 years later and we are still trying to claim on their negligence. Horrid practices. An absolute nightmare. The most traumatic part of our move.
I moved interstate and had Jordan River pack my goods, store them for about 6 weeks, and deliver them. The packers showed up on time and all was well with that. When I got to the delivery piece that is where everything turned and has been …
Our experience was so terrible with our move in 2022 that I made it a point to write this review, even when it has been almost a year since we used Jordan River to move. I had gone through several posts on Facebook groups and this company …
I did not select this movers. They were sent to pack my items by International Movers Network that shipped my items overseas. The packing crew was unprofessional and it was nerve-racking to see them randomly tossing my items in boxes. Had …
Terrible experience and very deceptive. I could go on and on about the problems with this company. We hired them for a cross country move. The original movers were great and fast, couldn't ask for better.. after that it went from bad to …

In their own words
An exceptionally high quality of service at a fair price. Edgar and his crew were fantastic and were just as cheerful and high energy at the end of the 12-hour move as they were when they arrived to begin loading in the morning. Sheena, Emily and the front office staff I was in communication with were always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. A real pleasure working with this company. They made a stressful exercise feel routine.
Thank you, Michael! We appreciate your kind words and are glad to hear that Edgar and the crew, along with Sheena, Emily, and the front office staff, provided you with such a positive experience during your move. It's wonderful to know we could make the process feel routine for you.
The folks at Jordan River Moving are all incredible! They moved the contents of our entire house to our new house 60+ miles away. The whole process was seamless and went very smoothly. All of our furniture and belongings arrived without a scratch, no damage at all. The three men working on our job were incredibly hard working and took great care to ensure our stuff arrived in good condition. I would TOTALLY recommend them to anyone who need a moving company.
Thank you, Rick! We appreciate your kind words and are glad to hear that the move went smoothly. Our team works hard to ensure everything arrives safely, and your recommendation means a lot to us.
I recently moved internationally, and Jordan River Moving was who my international shipping company (International Sea & Air Shipping—would recommend!) contracted with to do the last leg of the US-side of my journey. Jordan River’s folks were so friendly and did such a great job. They showed up on time with a full truck of moving supplies and worked all day on preparing customs documentation, checking my pre-packed boxes, packing last-minute items and my large furniture, and hauling everything down a too-long…
Dear Kate, Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a detailed and thoughtful review. International moves are complex, and we are pleased to hear our team … More
Can’t say enough positives about this company. They literally “rolled-out-the-red” carpet and white gloved this move like we’ve never seen/experienced before. I’d give them 10 stars, but Google only allows for five! Fernando and Alex were “TOP-NOTCH” in every “moving-metric” I can think of. It’s very difficult to achieve the proper amount of care and consideration while maintaining an impressive cadence — WOW! Jordan River Moving exceeded our expectations and I’m quite sure they’ll do the same for you.
Dear Steve, Thank you for taking the time to share such an exceptional review. We truly appreciate your kind words and the trust you placed in Jordan River Moving & Storage. Providing a true white-glove level of care while maintaining efficiency and consistency is exactly the standard we hold…
