KC MOVERS LLC

I’ve used this company 3 times in the past 3 times I’ve had to move. First move was great and they moved quickly. Second time was horrible, I had two of the slowest movers which in essence cost me way to much. Thought I’d give them a third chance, that was a mistake. They’ve had the audacity to increase their prices as well within the last year. I had a baby’s crib with a crack in it, a sound bar with a dent in it and a tv stand with huge scratches all over it.

They were 4 hours late. They were supposed to arrive at 8am and arrived at noon. When both myself and my realtor spoke to them, we were told a "complication" had come up. No further explanation. The movers were calm and friendly, but offered no acknowledgement that they were 4 hours late. I got the feeling one of the men knew what he was doing (I believe his name was DL) and the other guy did not know what he was doing. Perhaps KC Movers hired him for the day because he was big?

was told would be there between 3 and 5. at 420 i get a call saying that they will not be there until between 5 and 6. At 6 i still had not received a phone call so i tried calling and got no answer, sure they might have been busy ad could not get to the phone immediately. So i waited another 40 minutes and then called the main office he said that they were behind because of the first move of the day took 6 hours instead of the quoted time of 2.

I really wanted to leave a good review. The lady who took my phone call and scheduled everything was very nice. The three men who were on our job were also very nice and worked quickly. We didn’t micromanage too much and assumed they were professionals and getting the job done correctly. We thanked them for their help and tipped well. I have now found SEVEN pieces of my furniture were damaged from them unloading the furniture into our house.

My first encounter was questionable but I thought nothing of it and gave Mike the benefit of the doubt. After setting up an arrangement through UHaul/UBox, Mike was to deliver my boxes and unload on a certain date. Because he was out of town that day, he called/texted asking if he could come the next day. I said sure. He was shocked that I was not angry about the date change and even asked why I wasn't upset. My response was life is too short to sweat the small stuff. Fast forward to today.

Don't waste your time with this company, totally incapable and rude. The movers refused to take the cabinet, first they refused to blanket wrap it, but even when I offered to wrap it and bring it down with my staff, they still refused to load it in the truck. It's not a small piece, but I have moved it before and other furniture similar in size and weight. In my 10 years in the furniture and design business, this is a first.

KC Movers is a dishonest, unreliable, steamy mess and excuse of a company. Booked them for a major move. I get a call 2 hours before they're supposed to come, claiming one of their guys cancelled and they likely can't find a replacement. I had 2 hours to call around to find a replacement moving company, which costed me significant more than what I was going to pay with KC because it was such short notice. KC Movers offered no compensation or solution to the issue other than a sorry excuse of an apology.

i will never use this company again. see my full review under chilah harris-wheeler. I am in tears and without medication because of Mike Kohlberg. All he has to do is be professional and make things right but something is getting in the way of him acting his best. i have never been treated so poorly. i would HATE to think that this has to do with me... not looking like him... i matter.
