I spent $15K USD on this moving service, but sadly, I can’t recommend it. It’s been over a month since one of my closet drawers was damaged during the move, and despite their promise to repair and return it, I still haven’t received it. I find this lack of follow-through unprofessional, especially considering I paid the full amount at the end of the job.
TLDR: 1. They arrived late (originally supposed to arrive between 12-1PM; day of, they called to say they'd arrive at 1:30PM; in actuality arrived at 2:10 -- only because I called them at 1:50). 2. For a 1 bedroom condo to 1 bedroom condo move within 2 miles, it took them 5 hours. That is crazy! This was my 7th move for a 1 bedroom and never has it taken more than 4 hours (usually around 3!). 3. They tried to overcharge me, but I had an email with proof that there would be no hidden fees. 4.
Here at Kora Moving we appreciate your review but To clarify some things we did specify that we were really backed up and asked you if it was okay for us to arrive a bit later than planned and you agreed. We did apologize about our late arrival and we’re still sorry about that small inconvenience.
I am unhappy with the quality for our recent move. We used Kora Moving once before and the crew was so diligent. -Since we don’t have shoes on inside the house, the last crew covered floors with cardboard and blanket so that they didn’t make the floor dirty. This time I asked them to put on shoe cover, they said they didn’t want to since it could take more time. Also unlike the last crew, they didn’t cover the floor as much as the last crew did and they stepped on to the floor with their shoes on.
Hello, we are truly sorry your experience from last time wasn’t the same as this current one, we would like to offer a apology for any inconvenience there was in the move and a brief explanation on some issues that happened.
Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience. Our move was cancelled 40 minutes before the scheduled start time, which created a lot of stress for a busy moving day. The company initially offered a few options to try to make the situation right, which we appreciated, but when we attempted to follow up and coordinate the details, communication completely stopped. Our texts and phone calls still have gone unanswered, leaving us without any solution.
I paid $15K usd for the moving. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this service. I’ve been waiting for over a month to receive a closet drawer that was damaged during moving. They promised to fix it and send it back, but to this day, I haven’t received the drawer back. I find it unprofessional since I paid 100% of the service upon completion of the move.

I have used Kora for two moves and I will use them when I move again. They showed up on time, communicated when they were 20 min away. They move fast but carefully. I felt like all of my delicate items were handled with care. They’re friendly and kind. I compared prices with other companies both times I moved and it’s a really good value for your dollar. There is fee transparency for additional items like materials before you book with them so no surprises.

I have used many moving companies over the years and it is always a dreaded chore that usually ends up in a nightmare. I recently moved back from Virginia to San Francisco and hired Kora Moving to unload my 26" box truck (I drove it myself to avoid dealing with unethical long haul moving companies). I was skeptical when I spoke with Carlos, but he assured me his crew would take care of unloading my truck.

Wow, what a fantastic experience! From the moment I called, the owner expressed a can do attitude that's the hallmark of a true small business owner. So much more responsive and with very fair and transparent pricing, better than the other 3 local movers I contacted. Even more appreciated is that I only gave a 2 days notice before the move and they were still able to accomodate me. On moving day the owner and 2 helpers showed up exactly when they stated and got started right away.

Carlos and his team were terrific. They had clear, consistent communication via text and telephone as well as email from the beginning. They showed up exactly on time and got right to work, moving us out of our one-bedroom apartment on the third floor of the building with no elevator. The furniture was wrapped in blankets and plastic for the move, our sundry items that we couldn't figure out how to pack were placed carefully in large boxes they lent us at no additional charge.
