They only get one star just so I could rate them!!!! Absolutely the worse company I have ever in countered!!! I had to have my stuff stored there for 2 weeks, because of the closing dates from the sell of my home to the buy of the new home. The crew gave me their word that my stuff would be safe and taking care of. . Well that was a lie.... when I got my belongings back, my furniture was broke, loss, and missing.. yes I said missing!!! Every day my husband and I realize something else missing..
Showed up an hour late with a smaller crew than quoted. Actual movers were nice but they were so short staffed and tired by the end that they damaged our walls and our TV. They are horrible at returning calls. Damages happen but the lack of communication after the fact is why they are getting such a bad review from me. I had to fix the wall myself as we couldn't keep waiting on them. I will not use them again, nor would I recommend them to others. The actual moving crew was very nice to be fair.
I had 3 movers come to my house to move me 1/7/16. They helped themselves to my change jar, my handicapped uncle's anxiety meds, my son's play station 3 games, a $500.00 necklace, a $300.00 ring, and Lord only knows what else. This was AFTER I gave them several items we no longer wanted or needed. I contacted Clay, the supervisor, and he assured me that I would be reimbursed once I filed a police report.
On November 24,2020, I scheduled a move to take place on December 4, 2020 with Larry’s Moving Service in Louisville Kentucky. December 4, 2020 the movers arrived at approximately 1030 am. There were 3 movers that came into the house to look at the items in the house that were to be moved from house 1 to house 2. Several times one of the movers had asked to use the restroom. I directed him to the master bath, our dogs were in the main bathroom during the packing at house 1.
I strongly advise NOT using this company. Look into other movers, pick one of them. I picked wrong and had a terrible experience. Details & TL;DR below. 1. Movers did not call morning of the move to let me know when they were arriving. They arrived after the quoted time. 2. Tried to claim that the street in front of my apartment was too unsafe. Nearly cancelled the whole job. I lived on a rarely used side street. Worker safety is important, even if the threat is exaggerated.
Maybe some had good luck with Larry's Movers, mine was beyond terrible. I have every intension to turn them to the BBB and the Consumer Office of the Attorney General. Their staff is most unprofessional, telling me that they are not paid enough and they’re dependent on tips (I tipped them). One said that he was too old to move my belongings. They were most unproficient. They wanted me to purchase them lunch (which I did).
Larry"s Movers I a bunch of thieves, after telling me it would be $1200.00 for the move. Renee or Jay texted me half way to say it would be $2889.00. I did not see the text because I was driving. I could not get ahold of him and the driver said he was on his way to California. Jay the driver gave me an address 3800 Inverry Blvd but no suite #. I have been to the address nothing for that company, they are not answering the phones. PEOPLE WONDER WHY PEOPLE GO POSTAL. RENEE OR JAY YOU ARE WHY.
This is not our customer. The review is not legitimate or they have the wrong company. We do not have anyone called Renee or Jay working here. The person writing the review is not in our customer database. We suspect this could be written by a competitor to lower our Google rating.
They are a scam!!! Beware!!. They gave me a 650 flat rate and turned around and charged me 3800 cash only 30 mins before delivery. Beware!! They say Larry is just a sell person. Never picked up phone after new price was giving. It is horrible I finally got my furniture back they just threw and didnt even want to put it together got a lot of broken stuff and movers were angry and said they are just contracted and not work for company. Again beware!!!! Scam....Scam....liers. And fraudulent.
You have never been our customer and are not in our records. From your other reviews It appears you live in another state. Could this review have been done for another company by mistake. If so would you please remove this review. We have never required cash from any customer.

In their own words
The team was prompt and efficient. They were fast and polite both loading and unloading our two trucks of stuff. We were downsizing and furniture in the first house went to a different location in the second house. They checked with us on each item as it came off the truck! The best part is that we did not have to unload any drawers. That saved a lot of packing and time. No time was ever wasted and they all worked HARD. Our bill came in under estimate. They were great. Would definitely recommend and use again.
I was nervous about moving my entire house. but Larrys Movers delivered on their promise. They handled my furniture carefully and kept me updated throughout. The pricing was clear and there were no last-minute surprises. Thank you so much Larrys movers.
I was worried at fist with hiring a mover since I always rather do it myself. From advice from a friend we hired Larry’s Movers to move my daughter from one apartment to another. I was surprised and great full that they were able to do what I was told they would do with no issues at all. It actually took less time than I was told and even a little cheaper than my original quote which most people I deal with wouldn’t of change in my favor. The next time I need help moving I will definitely use Larry’s.
Larry’s Movers did a very good job for us. We moved locally from a two story home with a basement, with a lot to move.. Clay coordinated the move for us. The team packed on one day, loaded the second day, and unloaded the third day. Richard, Bruce, Henry and Chris did a very good job. These guys really worked. , especially in the Louisville heat and humidity. In the end, we haven’t identified anything that is missing and damaged / broken items were minimal. I. Would recommend Larry’s Movers.
