We hired Liberty Moving and Storage to move us from Vestavia to Mountain Brook. We had already moved into the house and were living in it, but the majority of our belongings were still in storage. After the move was over and all of the employees were outside (or so we thought), I went upstairs to get my checkbook and I caught one of the employees in my closet/dressing room area.The hair stood up on the back of my neck.
I hired Liberty for a move from Alabama to Massachusetts. It was the worst experience. The movers showed up a day and a half late and took 7 hours to load furniture from my apartment. The worst part was that 3 days later as I was driving to Massachusetts, I received a call that the driver of the moving truck was arrested for assault and the truck with my items was being impounded. It turns out the driver was a convicted felon, unbeknownst to me.
We moved over a year ago and I left a review on Facebook but looks like they may have deleted their page, so I’ll leave one here. There were so many bad reviews on their Facebook page and one of them was mine. The movers moved so slowly, unless the boss showed up. A lot of standing around. A couple guys got in a fight in my front yard and 1 driver took off with one moving van. They sent another guy but I paid for the time of travel so no discount for the time I was down a mover.

Extremely unprofessional company. They first arrived late. When they finally did arrive, they never got started....Sat in the truck for a while. What I call goofing around. When they finally did come in they came in and asked what had to be moved. I informed them just the furniture and boxes. To make a long story short they just left without moving me and without notice....i called Tyler to see what happened he stated that they couldn't move me because things had to be in boxes.
Unfortunately the Movers sent pictures of what was requested we move. We do not move large amounts of extremely small items that are not boxed. Best of luck.
I hired Liberty Moving and the move was a nightmare. The move took all day long even with me having packed my things. They didn't want to box my new TV in a secured box. Finally, someone arrived on-site to secure them. The most hurtful was my new refrigerator was taken apart with parts left who knows where. There was even a footprint inside. I had to remind them to get pictures off the walls and remove my soundbar for the TVs. That move took all day long when I had already done the packing.
Sharron, Sorry for the misunderstanding. Many moves do take all day long. Not sure about a footprint inside the fridge. That’s a first for me. If you are missing any parts please reach out.
They stood me up and really put me in a bind nice guy on the phone but we left to four hrs late due to some one dropping the ball no call no show and good luck finding someone the day of…. on a Saturday I finally did find a company but I had to keep throwing money on the deal until the price became ridiculous

It appears my previous review was deleted. Just speaks to the fact that the business will not take ownership of the lack of quality in services provided. I have attached photos to show the reasons for my one star review and will continue to post to inform the community not to utilize this moving company.
Victoria, Thank you for your review. Your previous review from April 2018 when we moved you must have not been submitted because we cannot remove reviews. We even deal with a lot of fake reviews submitted from false accounts from other moving companies.

Great experience with Liberty Moving! Not only did the team that was assigned to us arrive on time, they were early and got out of the truck ready to go! After a short walk through, where we pointed out things that really mattered to us they went right to work. Anthony lead the team of Corey(1), Corey(2) and Sam. They worked diligently, quickly while taking care of every one of our belongs. We were able to get to know the team and interact with them but that didn’t slow them down at all.

I recently hired Liberty Moving and they could not have made it any easier. From start to finish they were professional, careful, and quick. They came to my house to look at everything in order to prepare an estimate(something other moving companies that I contacted were unwilling to do) and gave me what turned out to be a very accurate quote. Everything in my house was packed carefully and organized in such a way that it was very easy to unpack.
