Recently had an awful experience with this company: 1) they completely misjudged the amount of truck space required, despite doing a full property walk through prior to the move, which first meant they simply abandoned many items at the original property. In contrast to many of the favorable reviews listed for this company, in no way can I recommend someone choose Lifestyle Moving & Storage. My contracted move with them from NYC to partway across the country has been disastrous, poorly executed, distressing, and plagued by persistent communication failures. Wish I could give a zero! Were supposed to be at our apartment between 8 and 10 am, but we’re late and didn’t show up until 1. Fine. It happens. Did not finish our two bedroom apartment until 5 pm and didn’t get to our new place (30min drive) until 8:30 pm. Broke a lamp, chipped a picture frame and broke my daughters dresser AND chipped the stone of our new home. One of the movers smelled like booze and was so rude.

I don't know what's happened, but service has gotten bad over the last year or so, and I'm a repeat customer. Showing up late (once, notably, with an attitude), forgetting entire pallets of your stuff, not following instructions/abiding by requests, movers coming & going throughout the day instead of a team devoted to your move, moves taking all day into the night or next day - though I found out coming back the next day wasn't even something management directed; the employees felt bad my move was so screwed up &…
DO NOT USE THEM UNLESS YOU’RE COMFORTABLE WITH YOUR ITEMS BEING DAMAGED. We did a cross-country move with them, and pretty much every item ended up getting damaged in some way (a couple of the items were damaged by the movers unpacking them haphazardly with box cutters). We were also told our items wouldn’t end up being transferred between trucks but they very clearly were somewhere along the route.

I recently hired Lifestyle Moving for a move from Westchester into Manhattan. The team was extremely helpful, communicative, and professional. The flat-rate quote was very reasonable compared to other highly rated movers in the area, and the the sales and coordinating team ensured all details were addressed before moving day. The day of the move, the team led by Gilberto was very efficient, careful with my belongings, and flexible in light of logistical challenges.
This is my fifth or so move with Lifestyle Moving because they are fantastic. I used to use the bigger companies but I found that they cared less about my items and would add on new charges. I’ve had to move a lot in the last few years and it’s always been stressful but Lifestyle has helped ease a lot of the stress. Vaso has been booking my moves and always send great men for my jobs. The pricing is extremely fair and straightforward. For today’s move I had Gilberto and Luis who were fantastic.
I had a fantastic experience with Milos and his crew. They were fast, careful, and treated my furniture with great care and respect. Everything was handled smoothly from start to finish, and their professionalism really stood out. I will definitely be using them again for my next move and highly recommend their services.
