M. DYER GLOBAL

I have used M.Dyer for many, many interstate moves (both ways between Hawaii, California, Texas and Washington) over decades. I've had items disappear (e.g., a new expensive woman's trench coat, a small framed Japanese print) and some damage and missing hardware, but for the most part I have.appreciated the reliability of the service. My current move back to Honolulu from Washington, though, has totally changed my view of the company.

Not sure how they received 4/5 stars. We were assigned M. Dyer Global as our TSP during a PCS move. Poor communication with little to no updates. They were 2 weeks late from the "No Later Than" date. And are refusing to let us file an inconvenience claim, which is our right. It is also stated on their website that it is our right. Very unprofessional to whoever I was speaking to throughout the whole process.

M.Dyer Global contracted Olympia Moving in Austin, TX to do our packing and shipping. Olympia did an absolutely amateur job and damaged several of our furniture pieces resulting in nearly $20k in damages. The insurance company that M.Dyer Global suggested only covered $5k in damages. Among the major issues with the pack portion of the move: * Olympia did not secure furniture pieces to the dolly and one went flying down the stairs, crashing into our wall, causing damages to our home and destroyed the furniture…

The absolute worst experience I've never had the displeasure of experiencing. The lady that sets up the move called me at 2pm on a Friday while I was at work and left a message and said that I have until 2:30pm to confirm my delivery date of the following Monday (they are closed on the weekends). So I call Monday as soon as they open and she tells me they are moving my things into storage. I voiced my displeasure (very respectfully) saying that she only have me 30 mins to confirm the delivery.

We are a dual military couple who had an awful experience with M. Dyer moving off island. We've never had to make a claim before.... And somehow after 7 moves with different contractors, all same furniture and homegoods, with no issues... this contractor went above and beyond to make our move as miserable as possible. They took a lot of our furniture apart and never packed the hardware with it We can't assemble our beds, work desks, our office chairs, shelves, and tables because the screws and parts are missing.

I can attest to the other review and state that this is the worst moving experience I have had in my military career. Our stuff was packed the 22nd of May and shipped from Hawaii on 28 May. It just now "arrived" at Fort Knox on 16 July. We had friends who packed out a week later than us, and received their stuff 3 weeks before us. Different movers, better results. Besides this, there was no coordination or effort on the movers part to contact us or notify us.

Ran over the neighbors mailbox; used my mattress as a seat outside and uncovered and damaged almost all of my furniture. Definitely do not recommend. Workers at the house kept making deragatory jokes and did not wait to inventory items before bringing them in the house. Broke the seals on a crate without anyone present followed by unloading it and left it in the driveway / street unatended for me to find. Missing 20 plus boxes from my move.

Attempted to receive an estimate and book an important project for the U.S. Army Museum with well enough notice. No one responded to any inquiries until I was able to speak with someone directly, who admitted they had my email but never bothered to respond. I waited several days to never hear back. Then I called them again and when "transferred" to the person I was "working with", the line went dead. Never heard from them again.
