In their own words
Very bad experience on the back end of the move. I moved out of town and was told I would have 5 "top team" members there to handle my expensive and delicate fragiles. Only 4 showed up and with a truck too small to fit everything into. We ended up having to shove things into our car and RV trailer and leave things behind despite the representative having taken a full inventory of my belongings prior. Upon arrival in the destination town (2.5hrs away) there were only 2 workers.
TLDR; Bottom Line - Terrible Experience with Out of State Move We were moving our 4 bedroom home from Shell Beach to Helena Montana. Martian is a “reseller” of a larger national company National Van Lines. Martian was clear that it would be National moving us, but that they were the reseller. Chris came over to the house to carefully review all the items we needed to ship, including a garage full of gear. He calculated we would need a 26’ truck.
The move was a disaster. Movers were throwing my small boxes into a larger bin. My desk was ruined when they scratched off the front getting it through the door. I had so much damage to items, I was really furious. The insurance was a joke. Horrible experience!
This has been the worst move experience of my life. And we have moved with professional movers 6 times. Setting up the move was great. Their leadership team are wonderful in every way. But their packing team was absolutely terrible. We …
Worse, packers and movers we have ever used. Only reason we went with them was because of the good reviews, the fact that they could move a safe, and they were willing to match Meathead movers do not exceed price. (Not sure how they have 5 …
Hi Lauren, Thank you for your feedback. 5 star service has been something we have provided to all of our customers from day one. We are sorry that we did not meet your expectations. The comment about worst movers and packers is concerning as our crew was given kind words and a generous gratuity to…
I moved at end of June 2023 using Martian Movers' service. The movers are nice but inefficient. It took three people an entire day to move our stuff (2 bedroom apartment) from Atascadero to SLO. I eventually paid $2,000.
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
From the first call to Chris, Sale Manager with my list of items, he gets back to me with an estimate within the day. He also follow up two weeks out! I like to support small business especially the VA own. Also they have a helpful milestones of moving plan in PDF. A week out, the Operation manager, Ernest was very detailed and informed what to prepare and info of their crew for the project.
Hi, Jennie. Your feedback is highly appreciated. Thank you for the review!
The two young men who came to help us were polite, respectful, full of energy and willing to help out with our situation! We had hoped to get everything done in two hours and they powered through and got it all done in less than that! I would highly recommend this business. Super responsive and willing to do small jobs!
Hi, Wendy. We are thrilled to learn that you had a positive experience with us!
Martian Movers, helped my family make their move into their new home after a week long delay with the escrow, before the place was finally sold to my parents in Santa Maria, CA after having to move from Ventura County. Martian Movers were quick and professional and since the stuff was already prepacked by the previous movers, beforehand and my parents stuff was stored away temporarily in a public storage in Santa Maria, as they ran into a delay with the escrow as they were originally supposed to move in their home…
Hi, Alberto. We appreciate the kind words and are glad we could provide you with a positive experience!
We recently relocated our office within town. Martian Movers did a fantastic job. They showed up on time, explained everything they were going to do in detail, executed and moved us to the new location. They even worked around us while we packed up the last few remaining boxes. The truck was clean and organized, the unload was painless and the guys worked with urgency. We will use them again if we need another move.
Hi, Mike. Thanks for taking the time to share your positive experience. We truly appreciate it!
