The Moving Experience

This is the WORST moving company I’ve ever dealt with. Like many others, they arrived late, half-finished the job, and held me hostage mid-move by demanding more money. ***Expect them to BLAME YOU for their failures, just like their response to every bad review on Google.*** I recently hired The Moving Experience to help with a move across San Luis Obispo, and I regret the decision. Despite accommodating a last-minute date change, the experience was disastrous.

Avoid at all costs. Asked for them to load a 15 foot U-Haul. Charged 1300+ dollars. To load a truck. Experienced movers did not arrive at the move site due to over booking on the company’s end. Instead the dispatcher/manager and another new person arrived. The women showed up with only a broken dolly. Did not follow instructions, and broke over 1000 dollars of our belongings. Over another 1000 dollars of items we asked to be packed never made it to the destination.

I'm a mover in Portland, Oregon. This morning two of us were called in last-minute to unload a truck from The Moving Experience. The customer paid for them to do a full move. Their crew showed up to pack & load, and assured him that there would be a moving crew on-site in Portland to unload. He came to Portland and waited for his stuff to arrive - he paid for 2 movers to drive, in shifts. Last night at 9 pm, one driver showed up with the truck, and nobody to unload it.

Shameless price gouging- will move you out of state but then refuse to unload you once your things arrive at their destination. I was never told about this clause in our initial agreement. What moving company doesn’t unload your things upon arrival???? Then - they didn’t show up at the agreed-upon time TWICE so the laborers I had to hire to help unload had to be cancelled TWICE.

There is nothing good that can be said about this moving company! BEWARE! Moving date scheduled for the 12th of sept, at 9 -10am they NEVER SHOWED UP WITH THE BOOKED SEMI TRUCK! NEVER CALLED TO EXPLAIN OR RESCHEDULE AND RAN MY CREDIT CARD FOR $2400 AND WILL NOT RETURN or reverse their charges! CURRENTLY IN A FRAUD CLAIM THROUGH MY BANK. This was to be an out of state move from calif to Oregon, and the apt MOVING OUT OF HAS ALREADY BEEN RENTED!

This company is a scam! Do not use them we were told our move would be $400. I called and paid over the phone to Nicole. She never said that they would be keeping my card on file. The next morning after the move I checked my bank account and they had charged 4 different charges. Totaling over $1300. No one told me there was any additional charges!!!!!!! I called and they said someone would return my call no one has called me back! This company is dishonest. We are making a police report and contacting our bank.

Very unprofessional and didn’t help us and left us stranded with our moving stuff. Dylan was helping us and was very rude and sarcastic and Bryan took over and didn’t help us and hung up and they also called us 15 mins arriving time which 9:30 to 10:30 so they called at 10:15am. Would not recommend this company who’s very unprofessional and doesn’t answer the phone

Movers were good, but it was way overpriced. $1500 for 4 hours of work. The initial estimate given showed a max of 1600 but they assured me it wouldn’t be that close to the max since it was about 10 bulk items. It came out to over $300 an hour .
